  1. Love it, is that a dog in the background? Not one of yours? it looks like whippet? Or am I completely off base?
  2. I think we should, got any ideas?
  3. Thanks guys, still in search of bees and butterflies. the fly was good it was so still.
  4. Thanks Guys! Oh Linda, I was in a dither, really panicking which is just ridiculous, it's 'just' a camera right? I was so glad I figured it out, just wish I knew how it could get that far out, I Know I didn't do it, I took the spider shots the night before and it was fine? It's just a mystery. And yes spring is fabulous, so many colours and beautiful things to take picture of, the fly shot was one I thought the focus on him was good as he stayed so still for so long.
  5. A couple of spidey ones I shot last night.
  6. Anyhow back to the camera problem, I came home and tried it again, took battery out, took lens off and on, tried the lens on the 650 and all good, put the 40mm on the 7D and it was doing it on that too and I had one last thought about the Ex Comp and sure enough it was on -5, I hardly ever change it ont he 7D, it was something I did a lot on the D80 but I just havent needed to on the 7D, so I just can not figure out how it could have got so far off centre? Its wierd, so after a big panic and having to force myself to use manual, the pics are a bit noisy mostly corrected in Lightroom, I was happy with them though and now not so scared to use full manual mode. Still dissapointed I didnt see a butterfly or a bee.
  7. So today I took my camera to work, which I have been doing recently as i am putting together a collage of our team as we haven't had any new pics for a long time, I got the camera out of the bag and went to use it on AV with iso on auto till i seen what was what, usually the light in there is the same but if it is a bright day the light can be brighter and I snapped a couple of pictures and they were completely black. So I was like       literally freaking out,, I went through what I thought was every setting and just knew something wasn't right but couldn't put my finger on what it was, the camera kept using iso 8000 yes 8000 and I just thought thats ridiculous! If I bumped the iso right up the photos weould be passable, anyway I switched to M and all was good, just used a faster shutter speed and stopped down to what I needed to be at and all good, got some good shots and it made me really think about what settings I needed to use as I was in the nursery after work and lots of sun and shade so needed to change often. Heres some of the pictures I looked for bees and butterflies but all I got was this big fly.
  8. Lovely photos of the J-Man! Love the bandana! week 39 Lacy in triplicate, (my first composite and a texture together) (probly my last, )
  9. Poor Boofy it will be hard for him having Sniffy as his constant companion, might be worth looking into something like rescue remedy or the likes, not sure who would sell that around here? Maybe the health shop opposite Monaghans? Maybe the vet have something? I think we underestimate the strong bond dogs form with each other, I know what mine would be like if one was gone!
  10. How are you all today RJ, I bet you had a rough sad night. thinking of you! X
  11. Awww poor fella, fingers crossed for an extra speedy recovery. Hope he has a good night, back in April when my boy had a lump out from under his arm and a wart off his face he cried and cried in pain all night, it was horrible. I hope Zeke has a good sleep and feels a little better in the morning.
  12. Well done to you and the whips! I think it is really fantastic as you have two things to conquer, the fact that the dogs want to chase the chooks and that the chooks are foraging for food, like you said Puck thinks they are getting something he should be having. That would be my Bronson, he would think he was a chook and be foraging too. They all look pretty relaxed in the pictures! Good job.
  13. I never head about this story? What happened did the boy wonder off with the dogs?
  14. Oh how sweet, my oldest is Cooper too. :)
  15. I have too many to mention! Mine make me laugh constantly and I adore them more everyday if that's even possible! One fond memory was of my youngest when he was around 12 weeks old, he had been playing with the older dog through out the day and we had puppy school that night, while all the other pups romped around with their owners learning new things mine was fast asleep on my lap the whole night, the trainer even asked me was I sure he was ok. I said just worn out, he came to puppy classes for a rest. I think I could write a book on fondest moments I just have so many and hope to have many more. Glad your having a lovely night! I love your story too!
  16. Love that one Huga, you both look rather annoyed like you have been waiting too long for your dinner to be served! I tried one this evening and after working on it for ages, finally just went "that will have to do" I was so over it!  Imagine if I had 3 Lacys
  17. Yes I had noticed that particularly when they got taken by someone because on her page the black bar down the bottom was covering it and even when the black bar goes away you could only faintly see it. So I have made it bigger now, maybe it will be a bit of a deterrent. Heres the new one, maybe need to make it slightly more solid.
  18. Ok Cool, hopefully someone can answer the questions, I know there was a thread a while ago relating to people taking pics of kids and the legalities but I think this is kind of different.
  19. PC, please be careful, I got chased by bees one day when we were tracking they had a hive inside a big humpy thing and my partner layed my dogs article to be tracked right under it, unbeknown to me we tracked it (well the dog did  ) and on returning to base I could hear this noise and then felt stinging and there was a swarm overhead, some were on my arms, I just about had a heart attack! It was very scarey!
  20. Sometimes I think people don't think there is anything wrong with just taking them. In my case someone on my Facebook didn't tag herself in the photo, they just appeared on her page with her captions, to me this is not acceptable but to other they may thnk it's ok. Not sure how she took them maybe by just saving the photo and uploading to her page? My watermark was still on the photo but so faint in the bottom right hand corner so could hardly be seen unless you were really looking for it, so I guess it's no biggy really and she probly did it not realising its not really the done thing. I've made my watermark a lot more noticeable now. I'd like to understand, if people are willing for you to take their photo and their dogs photo (for example I have their permission) the photo still belongs to me right? If the person who is or who's dog is in the photos wants a copy can I ask them for money if they want a copy? Sorry for the railroad Kirislin I can start another thread, just thought this kind of runs on with the original theme and I'm curious to how it all works. I know people take photos at dog shows and then charge for the pictures so I'm thinking its the same thing?
  21. Firstly I think the Watermark is totally clever and I love it, especially with the dog in the middle. Prominent or not I think it would be reasonably hard to remove, then again I'm no wiz with photoshop so what would I know! I like the lighter one better. I am not a fan of looking at any photo with watermark splathered across them but it is becoming a necessity now. As you know I am in the same boat and also just amped up my watermark to a straight line but right across the lower part of the image but still reasonably see through with a shadow. only just a week ago someone took images I had taken of thier dogs and used them on thier page, I don't even know how they did it. Id like to know about the right clicking thing too Huga? Is that so people cant copy and paste your picture from Facebook? I read this on facebook the other day.
