  1. Yea I actually thought he was whiter but he looks almost buckskin colour in that pic you posted, he is adorable, how do you stand so much cuteness!! I love seeing your pics on FB. Actually thats the thing I love about FB the most all the pictures people post.
  2. Nice shots GG, Is your kitty a raggy? I have a Birman, the feet give it away. love the one of them on the bed together. Another thing I like about the iphone especially for shots out and about is you can be a bit more discreet instead of having a big camera around your neck you are more unassuming with a phone. Ohh that sounds a bit stalkerish but I think you get where Im coming from. You can sneak a picture you probly would ordinarily get with a big camera. I was intrigued by one episode of photo finish where they all went out on the street with phone cameras to shoot street photography. there is so many people doing it these days. Does anyone have any special apps they use with thier phone photos. I use instagram occasionally for a few different effects.
  3. fantastic shots impatiens. I agree, the iphone rarely misses and the colours are usually very true to life. I especially love sky tower and queen street! edited to ask you is your phone an iPhone? My OH has a SGS 2 and it takes fab shots too.
  4. Fantastic W&H, You have some awesome subjects! You tiny pony look so cute and woolly! Is that his winter coat or does he stay woolly? Great post em up!
  5. What phone you got Cat? I find inside if there is a bit of light that the shots are usually ok, I use it all the time for our hospital visits and never use the flash although the hospital is pretty well lit. A few more of my favs from the last couple of months.
  6. Fantastic photos in here guys, the selfies are especially awesome, I admire the dedication!
  7. Ok enough from me, someone elses turn!
  8. Hi Guys, yes another thread here from me, I thought it might be fun to start an iphone photography thread (other phones welcome too of course) I know some photographers cringe at taking photos with their phones but for me having my iphone in my pocket all the time is fantastic should the occasion arise that I want to take a photo be it a simple snap or something I really want to turn out ok, its so handy to just grab it out and grab a shot. Im not sure if this thread will take off but Im hoping there is others out there like me that love photography and are happy to grab a moment even if it is on a phone camera. Some from me, right off the phone no edit. Little bobble head I guess what I love most about snapping pictures with my phone is its there and its handy, and sometimes the results can be quite amazing. Well I think so!
  9. I had similar with one pack I bought ages ago, smelt vile like off so they went right in the bin, I occasionally give my lot 4 legs but don't cook em up like you've done Sheena. Bet they would love homemade ones, great idea for training treats!
  10. Yes my two girls are accredited Delta therapy dogs, you have probly heard of Delta. It's a great program, we've been doing it for nearly 2 years now. :) I'd love to be able to take a better camera but it's too intrusive and while some people don't mind the iPhone is better and easier. The little girl in the photo raced and got her iPod touch and filmed the dogs doing some tricks, it was so cute she was so excited. It's lovely to be able to capture moments like these.
  11. Yep continuous shutter on fast not slow, it's mainly all I use with the dogs out and about.
  12. Oh goodie, look forward to your shots. I think the weather is turning nasty in a few spots, we're in for a bad couple of days too.
  13. Thanks, now that I look at them here I think the black and white might be a bit harsh. I just snapped these with the iPhone.
  14. I'm working on it, they are so quick and by the time I get myself sorted to take the shot the moment has passed. these are cropped a bit too. I haven't had much chance to use AI servo (tracking) apart from these running shots, I had a few in a row that the first couple were perfectly in focus but the next few were blurry each one blurrier than the last, not sure what happened there, I think I moved of the subject to much and the camera lost its focus. Anyway I'm having fun figuring it all out. Can't wait for nicer days, we had sun today but the wind was freezing!
  15. My lot are nearly finished so Ill try the chicken for them too!
  16. Yes I do for sure, there is a few different focal points and each one is suited to different situations so as long as I have the right one for the right situation its all good. and its easy to toggle the little square around to the spot where I want the focus to be now that I know what I am doing, and you have to be so quick with animals they move so quick as you would know!
  17. Any of the mirrorless or compact system camera would be ok, the mirrorless have still got interchangeable lenses so you still have options but they are much easier to get your head around than the slr and are a bit more user freindly although they do all have a lot of the manual settings the DSLRS have.
  18. Oh goodie, look forward to your shots, these few threads in here have gone a bit quiet. Usually they do comply but Cooper seems to have an aversion to the camera lately, I wonder why.
  19. No experience with either but I think the Nikon sounds ok, there are so many CSC's out now, I think if you spend around $500 - $700 will get you a great camera for all occasions. THIS is the newest mirrorless from Canon, it looks great. Also thier newest CSC is the G1X, I do have it and its great. Sorry I can't be more help. Is your friend a serious photographer or just wants something to take good photos?
  20. A couple from today and a derp shot of the big fella!
  21. From our hospital visit today This Lady was just ecstatic that we had the dogs to visit! This little girl was besotted by the dogs in the kids ward, and Mawson made himself comfy. Not the best composition but cute anyways
  22. Me in here again. Now I can get all 4 dogs in the shot and all in focus! yay! Well 3 in this shot, Cooper would not comply!
  23. Im a bit lonely in here, Finally feel like I am getting the hang of the focus on the 7D, still a ways to go but feel better about it now that I kind of know what I am doing. The Lovely Mawson
  24. If you have time check out the mirrorless and compact system cameras, some of them are awesome if you don't want the bulk of an DSLR, definaltey not trying to talk you out of an DSLR but there is other options too. I have both and love both and my Canon G1X is a cracking camera, takes the most awesome shots. Canon have also just release thier newest mirroless interchangable lens camera the EOS M, it look great too. Canon EOS M Olympus have just released a new one as well that sounds great. Nokon have a couple of good mirrorless as well. They are definatley something to consider. Good luck with your search, there is so many to choose from these days, it does your head in.
