  1. I'm pretty sure sweet potato isn't really in the potato family. Did you know potatos are from the nightshade family, that include tomatoes, capsicums and chillies, and eggplants?
  2. He went on the cruise with her, didn't you see the photos of him in his cute little hula skirt? No lol. But I did see the photo of a woman with 'unstable diabetes' eating creme brulee. I have friends with serious diabetes (that would be very eligible for a dog but don't have one) who would never touch stuff like that. Pretty sure it would put them into a coma no matter how much a dog pawed at them. dont forget the waffle stack.
  3. He went on the cruise with her, didn't you see the photos of him in his cute little hula skirt?
  4. My own puppy's mother was a singleton. Her mother, an Italian greyhound had a natural but difficult birth, tiny first time mother, very big puppy, but both survived and the puppy grew up just fine. There would have been no reason to remove the puppy from her mother.
  5. I look forward to seeing some photos of these as they grow Dave.
  6. I'm thinking the other way, is there any chance you could take one of the other bitches pups to raise with yours? Keep some afterbirth and smear it on the other pup. At least then it would have another pup to interact with as it grows. Just a thought, it might be a really dumb suggestion, I dont know.
  7. I can see why you need collars to indentify them. all fat and shiny and sleek, so beautiful.
  8. she's been eating dirt and getting her brand new shiny white teeth all dirty!
  9. she drove a gorgeous convertible sports car when she came here. I wouldn't mind one.
  10. He definitely wears a little coat that says he's an assistance dog. I am not sure what he had to do to get it.
  11. Can you imagine that happening with the person Kirislin mentioned. A physical impossibility! Riiiight. Now I get this! I just thought you were calling some poor person a fatty not that their dog was tiny. I can see a lot of problems having certain assistant dogs being too small, especially a seizure response dog. Surely going to all that effort and money to raise, train and accredit the dog you would want one physically able to do everything possible. He was a pet first, then he became an assistance dog. I doubt it cost her any money to train him, apparently it was just special talent she realised he had. :) edit, seems I was wrong about the bolded bit. I've had a read of his website and she did train him. She says she's got 15 years experience training breeding and showing dogs. He's quite a high profile little dog, has his own website, facebook page, twitter account and youtube account.
  12. well, they're a bit blurry but still cute. :D I love seeing Feather all goofy looking in play, she's always been such a serious little thing with other dogs.
  13. see if this works =http://www.flickr.com/photos/32012294@N02/11501064674] one more try
  14. I googled the issue (google is magic, I recommend it) and came up with this thread which might help solve the problem: http://www.flickr.com/help/forum/en-us/72157638918211264/ thanks, I cannot opt out of the new model even though there's a button bottom left that says I can. I click it but it only takes me to a feedback page that I cannot read in full, or contribute to unless I agree to conditions, but it doesn't tell me what the conditions are. It's seriously stuffed. Hang on, it might have taken me somewhere, I have had to change a setting of mine that I'm not particularly happy about, I have to allow others to share my stuff. I've done it anyway. thanks Minimax
  15. That's my favourite one! :) they were all blurry but still too cute not to put up.
  16. I dont know how to take a screen shot, but what I used to do is click on the little box with an arrow in it and I would get a drop down box with the code I just had to copy and paste to DOL, but now when I click on it I'm told that I have to share the photo publicly to get the embed code. All my photos are public anyway. I even tried changing that and then changing it back in the hope of jolting it to work.
  17. yesterday. I can no longer post photos direct to here, flickr has changed so you now have to click on the link. My link
  18. really? How did you find out? There was a thread a while ago with a lady that was doing it. If people are talking about my thread about getting an assistance dog, they would be way off the mark as I actually do need one. --Lhok I wasn't referring to you Lhok, I dont know the thread that was mentioned either. I'm sorry you need an assistance dog, and I would imagine there could be alot of mistrust directed towards those in genuine need. I've had a disabling back injury since I was quite young, and the number of times I've had people look at me as if "oh yeah, sure you have" is quite depressing.
  19. You can do both, but I think it depends on the condition. I looked into a seizure response dog, and when I first looked into it you had to go through an organisation and it could take years to even start the process, now I believe that you can train an existing dog and get it certified. If my seizures ever start becoming uncontrollable again I will be looking into training either my current dog if he's still young enough or a new dog. This is interesting. I met a woman with a young dog of her own that she claimed was a service dog because it would tell her when she was about to have a seizure or when her blood sugar levels where out of whack. She already had the dog and said she got it qualified as a service dog. It was still quite young and I was skeptical it could do what she claimed. I beleive she has a web site and facebook page where people can donate money towards his upkeep.
  20. geeze flickr is really up the creek now. I figured out the other day how to post photos but now when I try the same thing it keeps telling me to share the photo publicly to view the embed code. All my photos are public anyway. I'm so p'd off with them.
