  1. Love the mud ones. He's really growing now and loosing the puppy look, he's more like a youth now. What age did he start loosing his milk teeth, I want to be on the lookout for my puppy's milkys.
  2. I've got an incredibly rare miniature Black Pharaoh hound here, I'm planning to breed with. IMG_5977dppt by kirislin, on Flickr
  3. are you planning on crossing any with poodles, I'd really like a curly coat.
  4. there weren't any wounds to start with and she doesn't play like that, if anything, she's more likely to inflict wounds than get them. She seems otherwise absolutely fine, I just cannot work out what these spots are. Assuming it's nothing sinister, they're more cosmetic than anything else.
  5. I got Nekos 2nd vaccination on 8/11/13. Within about 3 days a pale spot started to appear under her eye. It became more obvious and then another appeared and over the next few days it too became quite definite. The fur has turned white there. Someone said it might have been caused by the vaccination. Has anyone see this before and will they disappear? 5F6A0244dppt by kirislin, on Flickr
  6. I think a Rotti would be a fantastic dog to own, I'd feel very safe with one if we were bonded to each other, but I've been frightened by several up close so I tend to be cautious near them.
  7. 21!! that is a great age, the dear old man. How long have you had him?
  8. Not sure, I think so, but I think it's lovely to ride an ambling horse, very smooth and fast.
  9. In all my years of horse riding and ownership, the only horse I ever saw pace was my friend's off the track Standardbred, the day she long reined him. At all other times that horse walked or trotted. Actually I am mistaken, I meant to say that he said tired horses will amble, not pace, similar but not the same.
  10. I was told by a knowledgable horseman that horses will pace when they're tired. Not sure if the same would apply to dogs.
  11. Pacing is when they move the legs on the same side with each stride, and trotting is when they move diagonally, so front left, back right. I sometimes see puppies pace by themselves, I dont know how I would make a dog do it though, trotting is what I've seen them mostly do by choice.
  12. I would have thought trotting was the gait dogs could do most easily for distance.
  13. I often walk mine in shifts because I have some older frail ones now that cannot walk very far or fast while the 2 boys and Feather still like to have a bit of pace and a longer walk.
  14. that puppy looks to have very splayed feet. I hope they improve with age. The ears always look like they've been hacked off with pinking shears to me. I rarely see a smooth neat job.
  15. I very much doubt wspa would even be allowed to redirect their funds towards people. They're an animal welfare organisation.
  16. Not quite, the adult dogs are whippets and the naughty puppy is a greyhound, but not a full size one, she's an Italian greyhound.
  17.  No, it's the remains of that scraggy furry toy she's dragging around. I think it was once a slinky rabbit. She often offers her toys to Blondie in the hope she'll play tug with her. I dont think it's going to happen somehow.
  18. I'll have to go check out the Frenchie thread! :D
  19. Yep, it was all peace and harmony 5F6A0176dppt by kirislin, on Flickr Until............ 5F6A0187dppt by kirislin, on Flickr 5F6A0188dppt by kirislin, on Flickr
  20. She actually got on the little mattress until the puppy came along and jumped on her.
  21. Just soaking up the sun together. 5F6A0175dppt by kirislin, on Flickr 5F6A0181dppt by kirislin, on Flickr
