Maybe that's how they got all the way to Tassie, were they really good swimmers?
-
Well, I'm glad to know it's now been made illegal anyway.
-
thanks everyone. :) Yes tlc I had to use the long lens, they wouldn't come very close at all.
-
thanks for looking. I can recommend early mornings, it's the best part of the day I think.
-
I'd really like to see a comparison without it being hidden by hair.
-
Until I see otherwise I think they're all pretty much the same.
-
thanks, it was lovely at that time of morning. I really should do it more often. The birds and I had the park to ourselves. IMG_3661dppt by kirislin, on Flickr IMG_3668dppt by kirislin, on Flickr IMG_3672dppt by kirislin, on Flickr

What I am not sure about is if Victorian bats have it or if it's in the micro bats as well, or is it just the fruit bats.
-
I think it's transmitted when they're alive, Vic Rail and at least one of his employees died from it, also a vet who was treating a horse died.
-
I think it was about 6.30am. I got there too early because I got mixed up with Qld time. Yes, it was like that. thanks
-
There's the other virus that bats carry and it's transferred to horses, and then to people, the one Vic Rail died of, what's that one called, my memory fails me at the moment. Starts with H I think.

I got up early the morning of the partial eclipse, well that's not quite true, I'm always up early, but that morning I got myself to the park very early. Didn't see the eclipse but it was beautiful on the lake, the mist rising from the water. IMG_3648dppt by kirislin, on Flickr IMG_3657dppt by kirislin, on Flickr IMG_3650dppt by kirislin, on Flickr

was it a tiny bat or a fruit bat? I dont think the little ones carry the viruses the fruit bats have, although I cannot be sure.

thankyou!!!!!!!!

some of that is hair, can you trim the hair away so I can see where the actual skin ends? I'll take a photo of a very short haired whippets foot so we can compare.
-
Running dogs, by that I mean sighthound breeds like whippets, greyhounds, salukis etc, also need webbing so their feet are flexible and can splay as they run, but are still supported so they dont collapse (their feet, not the dog).
-
How can you dare to come on here with only ONE photo!!!!! I want to see lots more. Will you be keeping one? That's the hard part, letting them go to their new homes, well, it's what I found too difficult.
-
I've read that dogs bred specifically for water and swimming have webbed feet. But all dogs have webbed feet.
-
I like the photo but it bugs me that he has to wear a lead and drag it around while he's inside.
-
a fruit bat or a little tiny one?

Can you leave her with her mum and just supplement her feeding? Then mum will constantly clean her and she still might get some mothers milk as well. I had to bottle feed my first litter but once mum was well enough I let her be with them. They'd suckle from her as well as get the bottle.

I agree with all of the above, the only other thing I'd suggest is to give him a bath and a thorough brush out of his coat the day before if you have time, so he will be at his best. Also put a big sign on your front door, Love me, Love my Dog

You could give them all names from James Bond movies, either characters, or actors names, hmmmmmmmmm not too sure about Pussy Galore .
