  1. I would imagine they're using it in strong enough doses. If not the fox would probably try to make a break for it and would be killed by other means. Perhaps a quick dong on the head as it makes an appearance?
  2. that's really very clever. I can just imagine him saying to himself, good, she's gone! I'll see what she's left for me.
  3. I've got a poo eater here, but it's not any dogs poo, just some. I dont think he eats his own or Pucks but I think it could be the blue girls poo he eats, I'm not certain. I'm pretty vigilant with picking it up though, I usually do poo patrol at least twice a day but I'm sure he still sneaks some that I've missed. I've never been clear on the pineapple thing, some say you feed it to the actual poo eater, some say you feed it to the dog who does the "tasty" (not) poo. Mostly I've heard it's the latter, but for dogs who eat random poos how would you get to feed the pooer pineapple if its not even your dog?
  4. awww you really have got a smiling dog. None of mine do this but I remember the first time I saw a dog do it, it was one of my family dogs when I was a kid and initially I thought he was snarling, but I was dog savvy enough to realise it didn't fit in with his behaviour at the time, so quickly realised he was smiling at me. I have friends who bred a greyhound who used to do it, he raced as Grinner.

  6. some lovely shots in here. for anyone in Vic who's interested, we're (YVWSRC) having a whippet fun day next Saturday and you're welcome to come and practice your panning and freeze frame action shots there. https://www.facebook.com/events/379047792170803/
  7. Probably most of us who have a Canon camera have this lens or the 1.4, but I just had to mention it here because I've never seen it selling so cheaply, so if you haven't got it, and want it, now's your chance. :D http://www.dwidigitalcameras.com.au/astore/Canon-EF-50mm-f18-II-Lenses.aspx
  8. I 2nd the camera club idea and POTN. Canon also has alot of online tutorials, and of course, you can always try asking questions here, a few of us have the 7D now. I realise the 3 suggestions dont solve your problem about getting you out and meeting people though. I'm sorry you are feeling so down.
  9. Yes, I have a tendency to try to include too much of the story, but you can still see it well enough with a closer crop. I'm sure someone with editing skills could make it look alot better.
  10. Probably better cropped more 5F6A3266dpptt by kirislin, on Flickr
  11. I'm very shy when it comes to "street photography" so this was a stolen moment, but a charming one I thought. There was this elderly lady sitting in the food court, with her walker, and her ipad, probably chatting on facebook, but on her lovely hand embroidered table cloth that she'd obviously brought from home. 5F6A3266dppt by kirislin, on Flickr
  12. Are you always home before he is? If so can you either keep her inside or put her on a chain for a few minutes before he gets home. I'm assuming you cannot fence your front yard off from the back yard. What a pity your OH doesn't take it as seriously as you do.
  13. Brave lady, at least if they find the dog there's a good chance it will be identified by a wound to its ear. What a horrible death for that little dog, and it was so loved, the photos she had of them together..........
  14. I've never heard of a Maltese Hunting Dog, it looks like some kind of pointery bassetty type dog  very handsome though.
  15. Goodness, what a great age she reached. I thought it was a typo at first. You must have cared for her so well for her to have lived such a long life, but you will feel her absence all the more. I'm sorry for your loss. RIP old girl.
  16. Possums are nocturnal, although it does sound like a possum I think clowns, ghosts or aliens are more likely in this case.
  17. As opposed to non living human? Very scary, my first thought was a mans voice too Yes, since a few people are thinking it's supernatural, I wanted to be specific, I think it's just an arsehole casing her house and terrorising her poor little dogs. I retract my former comment about it being a clown, I dont think they sound like that. YG if it looks like they'll be coming through the doggy door to rob you just put a little note up saying Smile! you're on Candid Camera! :D
  18. I feel sure it's human, living human. I hope you play it for the cops.
  19. are you still living in the same place you were when you helped that mentally unwell woman a few years ago. Is there a chance she's out on the street again and it's her with one of her friends?
  20. It's incredibly lucky that you had that dictaphone going otherwise you'd never have known your place is being cased. Kinda creeps me out to think what might be happening here while I'm out.
  21. I cant hear any words being spoken, some of you have got much better hearing than me. YG have you got good neighbours? Can you tell them about it too and get them to ring you and 000 police if they see anyone going onto your property? Do you have any friends with 2 cars, one they dont use everyday that could be parked in the driveway?
  22. It would be fun to hide your car so he thinks you're out and just quietly sit by the doggy door with baseball bat in hand. When his big ugly head pokes through....... Whumph!!!!! he'll be even uglier. Disclaimer just kidding, I dont condone taking the law into your own hands, it's just fun thinking of scenarios.
  23. I was just thinking of something similar, but I was going to suggest writing F@#k off loser. I think your suggestion is better.
