  1. I agree, like a once in a lifetime holiday every day.
  2. I really did laugh out loud!
  3. yep, such versatile dogs, I have some stack and store ones too! they can also interlock like jigsaws or if you want, just wrap and package individually
  4. why did you buy a new one? Does this one do more than your last one?
  5. Oh no, no need, they'd stay like that for ages.
  6. You know how they pack wild birds into tubes to smuggle them, well I know how to pack whippets tightly so I can get several into a small package. You can have 3 sizes too, small, medium and large, all in the one tidy package. :D
  7. I'm pretty sure my Canon 50 1.4 is on its way out. I've already had the auto focus repaired once before, I wont do it again, but I like the lens very much. I am thinking about getting the Sigma 50mm, but I'm also thinking about the Sigma 30mm. Which one should I get, or should I just buy both?
  8. Probably both, I'd love a good point and shoot that is waterproof too, so I can take good action photos at the beach without worrying about my expensive camera and lens.
  9. I hope whoever did it doesn't get off.
  10. I think they recognise them by sight and smell. I used to have 2 whippets and a ginger cat. One day I heard yowling outside and when I checked I found a very similar looking cat had my ginger girl Pumpkin bailed up. I opened the door and said "get it!" and the whippets ingnored Pumpkin and chased the other cat off. They knew in an instant exactly who was the trespasser.
  11. wonderful!! So what are the limitations?
  12. Nope, no rellies over there, just wanted to do something completely different! We managed to arrive in the middle of a cold snap in Helsinki so it was -25 degrees. A bit of a shock to the system, but then when we got to 0 degree temps in Norway we felt positively warm!!! I loved the Alaskan Huskies, they have to breed them quite selectively to get the fastest dogs but also to keep a little bit of coat and bulk for the weather. You can probably see in the pics they don't actually have much coat at all! They have a few Malamutes and Sibes that I believe they cross in now and then. And they are FAST!!! Yes, I think this is why they look Keplie-ish to me. Well, you certainly got a different holiday. good on you for being adventurous.
  13. Rugerfly is selling her Nikon in marketplace. I recall she took some pretty good photos, dont know why she's selling it but it might be worth looking at.
  14. thanks for posting these. Wow, you're brave going North in Winter, do you have rellies there? Did you see any mongrel dogs or are they all purebreds? I like those Alaskan huskies, some could almost pass for Kelpie crosses by their looks, well I could imagine it anyway, their body shape, much longer and leaner that the huskies I've seen over here.
  15. I originally said the first but this is how I now feel and as you have said about the second, it's cute, his ambition, so I'll change my vote to #2 now.
  16. Are you kidding? It started with a kiss is one of my favourite threads :) Mine too! :D
  17. Is there a particular reason you have put this here rather than in the cruelty and abuse section?
  18. I was the same, it can be quite daunting, but once you start isn't it fun!! :D
  19. Lovely photos, very regal looking pussycat. Is that really a Pug? His face isn't as squashed as others I've seen.
  20. hahaha I soooooo know that feeling of being too scared to open the box, ya big chicken. You'll have a lot of fun with it, congratulations.
  21. I didn't know you could get magnifying glasses for lenses. Do they work on any lens?
