  1. Don't laugh but we used Anusol on our GSD X - it is thick helps healing and stops the flies biting.
  2. Well said ! if it can't birth, breed, walk, run or feed easily it shouldn't be breed
  3. Michelleva- Amputation always sounds much worse than it is. Our huge Deerhound had his front leg amputated due to bone cancer and he was up walking the day after surgery and a week later he was running around as though nothing had happened. The operation site healed very quickly. He went on happily for 6 months on 3 legs but very sadly the cancer had spread to his lungs. I'm sure little Destiny will adjust easily to 3 legs - she is one tough cat and she has you to love her :) .
  4. Silly me of course Esky pulls in a harness :D
  5. I have just about given up on collars for Jaana because they tend to to slide on all her fur over her head. I now use a harness most of the time and feel much safer.
  6. I can't help with the peeing problems but I just wanted to say they are beautiful - I love giant scruffies
  7. My son and I went through the breed pages on DOL and found Lappies. We had never heard of them so I rang a breeder who had pups and she was so nice and helpful we put our name down on her waiting list straightaway and luckily someone dropped off so Jaana came to us. I love her soft looks, huge coat plus the fact that she is an independent spitz and she talks! My other favourites are giant sighthounds - Deerhounds, Greyhounds and Borzoi - one day ...........
  8. She is very cute - I have met a few Shiba and they have all been lovely busy little individuals :) I'm sure you will sort out the teething problems.
  9. It is a pity you couldn't leave it alone ! I responded to Corvus' survey with answers about my sighthound - he was timid and a scaredy cat!!!!
  10. ok so I will bring Miss Very Loud Princess Trot and Miss Unpredictable   I just hope someone has a camera !
  11. But she'd be funny to watch - like a big rolling pom pom *L* But a very pretty rolling pom pom !!!!
  12. Jaana and I would like to try it but after her "Princess trot" at sledding I don't think she will co-operate
  13. I just had a look at the tags and yeah, they're square. It's pretty annoying then that they've sent out such old stock as Justice hates high squeaks and runs away but he loves the squeak in the iSqueaks we got from Clean Run, which is obviously the new type of iSqueak. I might contact wagsalot and let them know. I would be happy to buy them off you - Keely doesn't care about the pitch just as long as they make a noise !
  14. Count us in too - sledding - lure coursing - There is nothing a Lappie can't do
  15. Thanks rev jo- l tried to pm you my email but I think you box is fully?
  16. Thanks rev jo- l tried to pm you my email but I think you box is fully?
  17. Well we had a great morning - Jaana did a nice slow trot all the way around ! Thanks to Eskythehusky for all you help ! Really looking forward to some good photos - Rev Jo and whiskaway
  18. I see it says a collar and lead - would a harness that clips at the shoulders be ok - Jaana slips collars all the time ! Hope the weather is better than today
  19. OK what time and where abouts in kuitpo? I,m sure jaana would love it
  20. Cookie is a very lucky kitten thanks to you k9angel. I am just watching remarkable vets and they had kitten with an abcess on its back -it lost the use of its back legs for a while but is now almost back to normal
  21. I think it is important to remember that there are good and bad breeders of pedigree, cross- breeds and mutts. To me all dogs are equal and they all deserve an equal chance in life.
