I do believe that a DOLer here has had a dog who's required surgery from eating rocks, but if he's still feeling alright then I would think he's probably ok. I'd suggest feeding him pineapple juice or similar to make his poop unappetising,

TBH i probably wouldn't bother with the Certigen spray if what you're doing is working. Otherwise you'll end up with a pink or purple frankenpuggie, and I only ever found it good for keeping flies away, and not really from a healing point of view.

Poor things, punishing the one that didn't do anything wrong by making him carry the awful, and potentially toxic, scent of fly spray instead of just training the other dog not to do be rough with him. Umm where ps lives its a necessity to put repellant on the dogs and in doing so the pup found out it tastes yuck and therefore temporarily solved the problem. I highly doubt it was done as punishment.

I complained about our AP driver today. I wonder if he will give me a card next time. Like i said to them, him not doing his job properly means i have to leave work early to hunt down packages rather than giving OH the card to go instead. I got my order and have happy dogs. Think ill get more toys though lol.

AP has supposedly tried to deliver mine twice but haven't left me any cards so I can't send OH down to pick it up. I'm not very happy considering he's been home nearly all day the past 2 days Now I have to try and get off my training course early tomorrow so that i can get home in time to get to the PO before it shuts to find out wtf is going on. This is why i don't normally get packages sent to home, I have to jump through hoops just to get the damn things.

Mine has landed in Australia, so I think the 'missing' packages in NY are probably just in transit. Hurrah! It won't be long now.

Mine has been stranded since 24th. Ahh well, we'll get our stuff eventually when the weather settles down and everything is safe again!

Is there a better type you could recommend? I have been keen to try Black Hawk? If the dog has unknown allergies don't! It upset my boy with grass allergies something chronic. In my case I had to stop feeding chicken based foods and now he gets pro plan sensitive skin and stomach formula. I highly recommend Aloveen leave in conditioner to rub on the itchy patches, it is oatmeal based and takes a lot of the heat out of the skin. It is our saviour.

Hmh.. I might place another order on Wednesday for a cloud collar and isqueaks if there's any left by then. Mine hasn't been shipped yet, guess it was too late to be done before the weekend. Oh well, I'm not in any hurry either.

He doesn't like muzzles, but that's a good idea, I might try desensitising him to it and see if that helps, I have a very soft one here for our other dog that'll fit him. Thanks :)

I forgot to ask my vet this when I was given it yesterday My boy has seasonal grass allergies, and his armpits get very hot, red and sore. I was given cortizone tablets for when he's really struggling but the vet has recommended using the Apex cream which is an antibiotic, local anaesthetic and anti-inflammatory cream and as the first port of call as it's topical won't have the same potential long term risks that the cortizone tablets do. My boy is able to reach his armpits to lick and scratch at them and as soon as anything is put on there to stop the itching he licks it. Does anyone know if it's likely to cause him problems if he ingests small amounts of it? I'm only using it on his pits as they're the areas that get inflamed the most. He gets aloveen rubbed on his stomach and legs too but it doesn't really help his armpits that much which is why we ended up going to the vet.He's already very limited with his outside time, he gets max an hour every day during the week and HATES it so it'd be nice if it'd settle so he can go out a bit more.

Aww poo, i still hadn't checked my order out and I had isqueaks, but they're gone now. OH will be happy, everything else bar the control unleashed book squeaks I'm hoping one of these toys will be Bundy's FAVOURITE for training. I've got 14 toys coming their way (some are duplicates of toys I know they adore).

We've just had our two at the vets tonight, and our Kelpie x who's 7 and has previously had a broken pelvis at 2 years is showing arthritic changes. He struggles to jump onto the bed now and often misses and isn't able stand straight some mornings. He's on cartrophen too now to try and get on top of it because we want to try and prevent major issues down the track. We're paying $140 for the 4, what about you? I thought that was pretty good because my mum paid heaps more for the same thing recently. Vet recommended seaflex sticks for us too but it's $60 from our vet Haven't got them for him yet though, I want to see if I can get them cheaper. I'd be happy paying $40 for them :laugh: They're essentially a treat version of jointguard or similar from what my vet told me tonight, much easier for the fussy dogs who don't like powders.

I have a 2008 sportswagon (think it's a VE as it seems to have less room in the boot but no idea lol) and can easily fit my Vizsla and our Kelpie x BC in the back. They're anchored in and in harnesses and when going long distances like we have this week their extra large bed also goes in the back too. I can take a pic with both boys in it tomorrow if you want? I want to get puppybars or similar in mine but OH won't let me
