  1. ok you need to sign in then in a box on your right is web page listing, click on that and you should see what you need.
  2. Exactly as above. Some older pups & adults mongrels even settle & bond with no issues too. Training a dog the way you want it does not always mean you are fixing a mistake & training is possible at any age. I have found a 6 month old puppy will often get something quicker than an 8 week old, not quite as silly. Breed related too. I think bonding issues are often the owners problem not the dogs. Some people can only bond if they have the puppy. Some dogs have a more independent personality no matter what age you get them but most dogs respond to kindness, attention & the person who feeds them no matter what age. No ideal age for me. I have taken dogs from 8 weeks to 5 years with no problems however while I expect reasonable behaviour & obedience & to be in charge I don't expect the dog to be trained to jump through hoops. Personal choice really. totally agree with both.
  3. was it here on DOL, a few years ago now, where there was a thread with someone having the opposite trouble? They were buying a pup from someone who didn't believe in vaccinations but used the nosodes instead and they buyer was wanting the pup to have the puppy vaccinations at least? Buyer was quite happy to titre in future. Anyone else remember or did I dream it
  4. wow and how rude are you! You have been a member since April, have you not read anything in the health forum If you had bothered you would see that most of us are against excessive chemical use on our dogs and we do not believe everything some vets would like to tell us. People here gave you their time and tried to show you how it is illegal to actually do what you want and in fact might actually have an adverse effect on your pups life. But no we are the close minded ones, not you. It is far easier to prevent a pregnancy, not so easy to prevent a case of parvo, but you'll desex but not vaccinate.
  5. It really doesn't matter what your feelings are about vaccinations, bottom line is that a registered, ethical breeder must vaccinate their pups before sale. In some states it is a goverment law requiring vaccinations ( and microchipping ), other states it is a requirement of the controlling body. Hence you will find it very hard to find a pup from an ethical registered breeder that is not vaccinated ( and microchipped and treated for worms etc ). Good luck with your search. Please make sure the parents of your pup have had the required health tests so it does have a chance of a long healthy life.
  6. oh Thank God! I am so pleased you have all been reunited.
  7. I wouldn't be in a rush to add brewers yeast, a lot of dogs have trouble with it.
  8. no it isn't unless you are only feeding egg white. Feeding the whole egg is fine. Egg white can bind biotin but the yolk is rich in biotin so negates any problems.
  9. Limit register is like locks on the back door, it only stops the honest people
  10. do they really have good bloodlines? But most people would tell you contracts aren't worth the paper they are written on. Like locks on doors, the honest people are honest and the others aren't, locks and paperwork mean very little.
  11. I don't intend to do too much unpacking  I might get my spare room back. Think I will be taking a trip down to check it out in person but have just about decided this is the way to go for now. Then I can keep my nifty little Mazda for a bit longer. ( I don't change cars very often, the last one I had for 20 years )
  12. I have a friend who has done this with 2 greyhounds but has now retired. She loved it, the dogs could have cared less :)
  13. I've had a roof pod and they don't hold as much stuff as I need. Great for a couple of crates and a chair :) but not for a gazebo or two plus the weight factor does limit them. As does my wonky shoulder lifting stuff up that high The longer I show for, the more stuff I seem to need  But thank you
  14. I use a monthly tablet that only does heartworm and use it every 6 weeks. I would not use something that does everything in one go on my dogs. Too much chemical overload. Same as the injection, would not use that either.
  15. I rang up and asked. You might like this, here, just a tad small for me!
  16. is your housemate ok with you getting another dog and likewise for the landlord (if you rent)? Did you read Donatella's thread? here
  17. http://trailaboot.com.au/index.php in the recent car thread there was lots of talk about what size, shape car to get to fit both dogs and gear. Has anyone thought about or actually had one of the above? I like my dogs to travel in the car and usually just have my gear in the trailer which is a waste of a trailer really. So I was poking around the net and found these waterproof, lockable trailers. A 6 x 4 comes in at around $1800. Much cheaper then getting a bigger car.
  18. BIG was Aust Ch Afrikenji Fifth Element. Not sure about baby, I *think* there were 3 babies entered. yes 3 babies entered so not sure which one won, sorry

  20. It hasn't been in Australia long enough for people to have used it long term. No but it has been in other countries and I thought someone may know a bit more about it or know of someone who has used it. Seems no-one has so I will look for something else. I use Muscle Pro here
  21. no it is not. Xray information can be very useful in planning and managing the birth.
