  1. I think the worst thing is that if a dog in these circumstances got a preventable genetic disease, i.e PRA and you wanted to sue the breeder for the cost of treatment they can quite simply say "nope, thats not something I bred, prove it" and if you have no pedigree paperwork it would be something that is hard to prove.
  2. Ask on WA Click. I know for showies we have a late start 12.30pm because the CAWA is hirirng out the grounds the night before and having clean up in the morning.
  3. Thats the only red & white BC I know of.
  4. The BC's in the pic look jealous of the dog I think is Brookie. How neat! Never seen a BC that colour before. What is the actual colour called? ;) No idea. I am waiting for someone to confirm if that is even Brookie. ;) Yay! Mystery solved. It was in those stays where the handlers run away. Brookie looks super focused. If you want the original PM me your email.

  7. Bedazzled I think I have a possible Brookie sighting Iwas going through photos from 2007 and came across this taken a the Royal where I went to meet Ptolomy and find out if a Toller was the dog for me.
  8. I love online entries, wish we had them more often... now just for a dog to enter So yes I reckon Is our royal online? Nope, well hasnt been so far. You should get numbers next week for the show Thanks

  10. Quick question. I did online entries for the Canine Fundraisers show next weekend haven't recived feedback/numbers but assume I am entered. Because Winter Festival is such an important show for me do you think I should do online entries in case my entries get lost. There is a small fee but it's the one show I care, has anyone had issues with online entries going wrong?
  11. Apparently other states don't often use collapsed tunnels in agility. Is that true?
  12. Ditto. Well, I have just googled Lab x poodles and they don't quite look like Chelsea. Seems that the lab x poodles have a slightly more profuse coat. I can't imagine a lab x poodle turning out black and white either but then I am no geneticist. There are labs and poodles that turn out black and white so that is entirely possible.
  13. I am actually going to wash Lincoln for this weekend! How organised and egar does that make me.
  14. If money was no issue I would like to trial in Calafornia around September so I could run Lincoln at the Chessie speciality and then the Eukanuba. Plus the weather would be awsome. (I know I cheated) In all seriousness I would love to trial Lincoln in Vic when he reaches the right age/readiness so his breeder could come watch.
  15. You showing on Sat ST or will you be too busy preparing for Gundog Club show? I am going to be showing both days and both days the weekend after too. Lincoln is in minor now so we might start to get points. You only get point at all breeds shows though right?
  16. This is part of Toby's remidial training, how to teach a dog that loves tugging at home to love tugging outside the home.
  17. She still in heat? :p Amypie I have decided the only agility trial I am doing this Canine News is Perth. But I am more then happy to spectate at some trials and help out with a jackpot/camera. She's only on day 5 It just seems like longer because I knew she was about to come in any day so was keeping her away. I'm so over it I'm never becoming a breeder So gross. Where is the Perth trial? K9? I sent off my entry for the Northern Suburbs trial, at least it's not too far north Yeah its at K9. :D I think its the last agility trial in the Canine News
  18. At my old house our whole patio was shaded by a massive grape trellis and Lilly would eat lots of grapes that fell on the ground every day while they were in season for the first 10 years of her life and never suffered ill effects. Saying that I would never give a dog grapes now.

  20. I thought it was just Staffords that roo-roo . Lincoln just does rowrf when he is answering back. His fav trick is when the dogs are barking and I tell them to hush he waits till they are all quiet then looks at me and goes 'rowrf' as if to say
  21. I would but the thought of driving that far in the cold Plus my older is getting some remedial training and the younger is currently doing some work with back chaining a recall. Unless I can buy a dumbell down there tonight?
  22. Thanks for the feedback everyone. I was hesitant about this because the dam water is dirty.
  23. Thanks for the info. It is giving me a lot to think about. Would this be the sort of candid you consider more appropriate for a pup showdog? Or do you mean something entirely different.
  24. Limit Register is great for gundogs, if you want to compete in retrieveing you must have an ANKC papered dog. Before limit register this would have been a nightmare to police, having to send pups that weren't nessecarily breed quality home on main. People still want to try retrieveing but get discouraged when they find they can't compete because there dogs aren't papered.
