  1. This is mainly for RS but this is what the jumps my dad makes look like: They are made from metal that is powder coated so is farily rust resistant (if thier is a scratch it might rust) however I have had most of my stuff for 5 years (made when I did a bit of agility in 2005) and no rust. The cups are a shallow V welded on, I have not found them too sensitive or impossible to dispace. Of course since they are custom made cup heights and pole heights can vary. They are metal so they are heavy and would be a delivery only type thing. I just put this here as well in case any WA people are interested too as he is about to do the order for metal. They cost roughly $30 a jump (two uprights with two cups). P.S Rubystar youe inbox is full.
  2. Just saw the video of you and Kyzer already up I agree no need for multiples. I am all excited for the next one now!
  3. I noticed that! I thought you were waiting because Kyzer was freaked. Do you want yours up?
  4. Toby has decided its much funner to run around squeaking then give it back!
  5. Just editing out the 30 or so seconds where I didn't realise the jidge has to say go before you cross the start line and I have to reposition Toby and be scolded. Video Here
  6. I was thinking never . I can do it soon I guess...
  7. Mirawee that makes sense . I will be going to agility training tonight then because I want to put Toby over a broad and though a tyre before he forgets what they are . I have been watching the video of Toby's run and I can clearly see where we got off track.... I think once you start it spurs you on more! Amypie did really well everyone and apart from an offcourse (which is a DQ) Kyzer ran clear and fast !!!! Well done Amypie
  8. Yes Toby went out to the car this morning and was staring at it and I was all like awww he wants to trial again. Then when i opened the car to unpack from last night he jumps in and tries to grab all 3 isqueaks at once!
  9. Thanks so much Sandi! Toby is in love with his iSqueak.
  10. Happy to take photos but I suck at cameras! Maybe if you're about on say Friday you could take "action" shots for me in the ring? Or whenever you're at a trial next! I'd love to get photos of Ruby actually paying attention, just so I can prove that she can actually do it I have agility training Friday but if we are at a trial at the same time I will be sure to take pics. Just did a quick practice session with Toby. He is doing the tyre 100% of the time. I know your not allowed food in the ring but are you allowed to have food smelling hands?
  11. Amypie if RS doesn't make it down I will have my video camera and will be able to film! But I hope she does cause I also have my DSLR and would love to get action shots.
  12. Welcome to the obedience/agility world! I remember busting so bad that it got to presentations that I had to make a quick dash up in the dark or I was going to be highly embarrassed at the suspicious puddle  TMI for a public forum? I went to the toilet like 3 times between pointers and group on Sunday eveining! I swear being nervous is a worse feeling then consuming like 20 litres of coke.
  13. RS I have no idea what time! I have a video camera and it would be great if you could film But I will be assesing after I see the course if we even run! Thank god both my instructors will be there and one is running right before me so they will be able to advise me if they think Toby is up to it.
  14. Let me know when these days are RS and Amypie. I need all the practice I can get.
  15. Yes I am the last dog in my class after the my instructors so I have plently of time for the anxiety to build! Amypie some advice, if you have contacts wear them otherwise strap on the glasses. Last trial I saw glasses fall off then the dog waited patiently while the guy looked for his glasses so he could continue running the course! And the toilets is ages away so no fluids because otherwise you will realise right before you run you really need to go. I know that from showing  Happy birthday Rosie!
  16. That would be great! Or you can email it to me (if you can pm me and I will give you my email). I am so nervous!! I think a lot of people are starting thier campagins for novice at nationals now.
  17. I would hold off on desexing the youngsters until you know the recommended age of desexing for the breed, some heavier breeds it is highly recommended to wait until 18 months or older. The best course of action would be to get a reputable dog behavioust in who can see the interaction and help you make informed decisions. Keeping them all seperated is probably a good idea.
  18. I don't think its rude to advertise you don't calls mobiles, its ruder if you don't and the person is expecting a reply that never comes. For me having lots of info about the dogs that I can then go off and research futher (because I brought a pup from US dogs it was great having the OFA number and I could check in the database myself what the scores were and what related dogs scored). Also having a link to breeders that have your lines, you have thier lines. I emailed a reputable breeder that these dogs had lines from in the states to for a bit of info and got a glowing refrence.
  19. You getting really nervous Amypie? I already have butterflies, this is way scarier then showing!!!
  20. I am looking for a tug lead so interested in replies too ness.
  21. Go Tiggy! My brag is that I built a tyre jump and Toby is doing it reliably! My non brag is that last night at agility Toby lost focus and I had to leave early! But this afternoon he was being really good and offering jumps for plain kibble. (He also decided that when my friends lab was going through the tunnel was a good time to jump onto the tunnel attempting to crush said lab... he just really loves his tunnel, I have to leave it folded or he just runs through it constantly)
  22. So sorry for your loss Lab Rat. You have had that horse longer then I have been alive! It must be utterly devestating.
  23. A dog at my club broke its back and nearly died from a tyre frame falling on it (it didn't happen at the club but at a competition). Since then it is mandatory for tyres to be pegged down.
  24. I will be showing everyday of the easter weekend! Its really quite catching once you get started plus after Easter Lincoln will be starting in obidience so I want him to have the showing bit down first.
