  1. Thanks  this is dry for an SA race ;)
  2. Kikopup https://www.youtube.com/user/kikopup Watch and learn :) Oh snap Piper!
  3. The only drama with snow is that to run 1 dog there you have to use skis And I can't ski..
  4. Haha it's more the pointers that we have to watch out for :p He's over 41.. probably 43 - 45.. The scales didn't uh like our combined weight.. awkward.. Racing season finishes late august early september.. But serious training for him won't start really til next year.. Just getting the basics sorted. Now I know what I need to work on! Sadly only 1 more race in SA.. August has a few big races that we don't like to clash with, including the snow races and the Canberra race. But I won't do any more travelling this year as Esky's not in good form
  5. Tuna face.. I mixed the wrong tuna tin in with her water.. So she ended up with tomato tuna.. Red mouth.
  6. Heat 2, today I dropped Esky from the team and ran Fritz solo. What a good boy, picking me good lines through the puddles and taking most of the corners well. Still needs passing work! But we had a great average speed of 22.5 km/hr ! Woo ( the top teams in 1 dog run up to 27- 28 km/hr on this track. Fritz can run very fast too but needs more work, especially with passing) If we had entered the solo class we ran today he probably would have won based on his times.. So excited for next season.. Now to get fit myself!!!!
  7. Can't take credit for them, since I'm in them haha
  8. Fritz at just over 9 months has had his first 3 harnessed runs this week. His second ever run was in a race this weekend. Put him in 2 dog touring ( a less competitive class that 9 month old dogs are allowed to run in) with his fluff sister Esky Leaving the start line He did incredibly well for a second run ever. He did want to go say 'hi' to the teams we passed which is very naughty, but will need work! Probably the only thing I can't practice at home. The last 500m Esky got so pooped, I took the line off that connects them by the collar. Coming home
  9. Haha thanks, here's a teaser. The rest will be up shortly in the Team Geeforce thread in Photos photos photos Don't want to detract too much from adorable Calli ( that video is soooooo cute alvse)
  10. I use harnesses for pulling activities only. But I have let Fritz and Esky free play with Fritz wearing his back pack ( which is empty bar the phone which I use to collect speed data, I'm a data junkie! ) I know she won't go for the back pack in play, but I would be very hesitant to leave anything on my dog that could be grabbed in play or fight, especially with strange dogs around
  11. go Fritz! I decided based on how good that run was and how short the tracks were at this weekends race that we would enter. I entered Fritz and Esky ( my sibe girl) as a 2 touring team. Was a lot of fun, but the last 1/4 of the race Esky just got dragged. So I had to take off the neck line and she ran beside the scooter while Fritz ran in front.. Today I scratched Esky and ran Fritz solo as a '1 dog touring team' same track as yesterday. We still need a little work on corners and a LOT of work on passing. But had I just run him solo both days we would have come away with a win ;) Some photos to go up in the GEEFORCE thread when they're uploaded by our weekends photographer
  12. I always tried to pick the quiet time to go. I don't want to socialise I just wanted a bigger area for my dog to run around. IMO school holidays is the worst time to go ( Is it holidays in QLD? ) My old local place would be overrun by prams and mums leaving the gates open waaay too long to hustle their kids and fido in. Be aware that a lot of dogs can really misread huskies and huskies can be very rude in play so you'll have to watch for that
  13. Fritzy pup had his first run in harness with Esky the other night. OMG he's got it! Didn't skip a beat. Straight into it. Nailed the turns. Kept the line tight.. I guess all that pre training has worked, but still did not expect that out of a first run.. Next year's going to be FUN!
  14. Esky doesn't like paddock time now that she can't outrun her younger brother!
  15. At least it would last more than a minute
  16. Not the best shot, but gees he's getting muscular Also our home <3
  17. What about the aussie dog ones LisaCC? http://www.aussiedog.com.au/products.php?rangeid=39&catid=11
  18. Needing some advice on how to best treat a small rip on the tip of my dogs ear. It only happened a few days ago, but every time it's looked healed he's managed to knock it again being the silly pup that he is. Any ideas?
  19. My pup is 40+ kg and people thing I'm kidding. Come and lift him up if you have your doubts
  20. Could you provide the link please? I need something like that
  21. Personally wouldn't be feeding fruit or cheese ( or only as a very rare treat) Have a read of some of the threads in here, they go into more detail. With raw feeding you've got to make sure there's a balance of bone, meat and offal, too much or too little of either can cause issues. :)
