I think they do know. Fritz gets excited seeing gundog / pointer types. There was a dog ( a mutt) that looked very similar to him that came into our obedience class one day. He was so distracted by her.. They did look similar ;)

Roos were all good. I have the feeling we wouls have gotten her home in a bag if she had gotten to near them. Apparently she jumped straight into the rangers ute when he showed up to pick her up... They have a decent sized day yard... but it's pretty boring for photos :p I usually only shoot in the paddock. :)

Hope it helps, we had a big novice turn out last year all round :) I wish we had bootcamps here like the eastern states do.. Seriously considering the trek to the easter one... as long as there is no rain forcast :p

Looking at feeding options. Wondering if people can list foods that are at least 30 % protein 20% fat ? What dry foods do you feed your performance dogs?

Its seriously popular! We had a huuuge number of entries for the novice class like 20- 30.. It helpa that the park is so central to the cbd there are heaps of onlookers etc.. fun :)

Very excited myself :D This weekend SA Sled Dog Club is hosting a sprint race. It's always a great spectacle. It's basically a drag race. We have 2 lanes set up.. Over approx 100m and two dogs and their mushers. Time's are averaged over 3 heats.. Being held in Bonython Park. For details and info CLICK THIS LINK!

:laugh: Breed guesses over the weekend.. Great Dane and Bull terrier x dalmatian :laugh: Suppose it's something I'll have to get used to.. I moved out onto 10 acres and managed to fence a day yard for my dogs. Cost $50 per panel for 10 temporary fencing panels 2.5m long by 2.1m high.. And then a few hundred for a cubby house for shelter.. Easily movable is I move house. And panels are a standard size so I can eventually upgrade when the funds are handy

OMG that's so messed up I hope Maddie if fixed up and feeling better soon.. *hugs to stan man*

:laugh: mine's an honorary spot. When he was about 10 weeks a little girl and her mum walked past our front yard, saw Fritz and commented "oooh look mum a dalmation" I had to laugh. BUT! Man you should see his spots now.. Maybe he is one :laugh:

My boys lines, I'm told, average around 27inches tall.. Weight I suppose can vary depending on muscle mass etc- some guys keen their dogs too lean. But anywhere from the mid 30s and I guess up to 50s Not sure what to expect with Fritz, neither of his parents seemed overly bulky. but he's a bit boy already! For comparision Fritz was about a kg a week for quite a while, but seems to have skyrocketed :laugh:

I so can't wait to take Fritz to the beach!

We've got a few dams on the property that he loves. He also gets freerunning in the paddocks and runs with me in the forest. I'm doing couch to 5k ( one day I'll finish it) Normally i get him to do a few intervals pulling and then he gets to freerun.. Don't want to push him too much.. but then I'm SLOW! :laugh: (old photo is old)

Puppy beast is driving me insane. Need ..to.. wear.. it.. out.. somehow!
