  1. Harness. No. I own a big boy of a similar age. A 28kg 5.5 month old pup :p Although I'm training him to be a sled dog, even if I didn't there was no way I could use him in a harness without getting my arm dragged out of it's socket. Even those front attach / no pull ones are just a tool. A strong puller will just pull into those. IMO they're just another tool, like a choke chain. And many people use the harnesses incorectly. The amount of people I see walking with their dogs dragging into haltis or harnesses is just incredible. Use what you're comfortable / knowledgeable with. Choke chain doesn't have to equal negative, you can take heaps of treaats and really reinforce the loose lead walk alongside using the chain
  2. Sweet hesus they're expensive! I wouldnt be buying one for Didi yet.. :p Pups will be pups ( or adults sibes will rip their own beds and then the puppies bed apart)
  3. The adjusting thing is weird. I can't get it to sit flat  Yes he is HUUGE. He's above me knee already. And bulking all the time. His rear legs are starting to look like a track greyhound
  4. It is a large Didn't really understand how to make it bigger though, he's so good we practice harness pulling for a few mins then gets all the freerunning in the forest. He's the best
  5. My pup is growing toooooo fast That was last weekend 22 weeks.. He's got heaps bulkier this week
  6. More paddock shots.. A few from the other night And some misty morning fun this morning. Have to run fritz before dog school now.. He pays much better attention with the edge taken off :p My husky has a recall apparently
  7. May I ask why you don't want anymore sibes after Esky has gone out of interest? Is it the grooming or are they difficult to manage temp wise or something. I know nothing about the breed. Cause Esky is to die for Such a beautiful looking dog.... :) Cause my partner haaates them.. He likes Esky of course but really really dislikes the breed. They aren't for everyone that's for sure. Plus we'll never get another Esky. The long coat that she has ins't common at all :)
  8. My two Esky 4 year old siberian husky Fritz 4 month old Bull Arab puppy Pictured at 3 months Pictured at 4 months
  9. It totally depends on breed. One husky is more than enough for me, and when she's gone that's it for sibes. I could easily handle 4-5 bullarabs for one husky. I've got two and would like a third for now ( while renting) So that when one comes out the others have company. Id eventually like property so I can run a bigger sled dog team. The logistics of running 2 single dog teams isn't going to work for me.
  10. I ended up buying a huuuge cubby from gumtree. We cut the legs off and made an awesome kennel out of it.. Also holy cow Fritz grew a few inches overnight I swear! He's loving the new house
  11. Someone discovered the dam the other night. Hasn't learned that swimming when it's 10c at night makes you cold.. Silly pup  Esky also loves the dam. I've got 2 water babies apparently Much nicer time to swim at around mid day today This fellow came back to live with his family yesterday. His name is Prima. Plus some pics of the other goats here
  12. Some new shots. We just moved to a new house, so I've been offline a while. We're on 10 acres now in the Adelaide Hills :) Fritz is loving it, so much room to run and be a silly puppy ( all supervised) Esky is in the bad books, she escaped the other night and was picked up by the ranger at a kangaroo sanctuary :/ Esky loves the view from the head of our bed ;) ( so do we) Super spoiled in the cubby 4 months old Too fast to focus on
  13. We had two terriers. JRT x Fox terrier. They were outside only dogs, but never barked unless every other dog in the neighbourhood was too. Towser was also an incredible 'snaker'. We lived in Northern NSW and the amount of snakes he despatched was legendary. We never trained or encouraged that behaviour, but he was incredibly good at his 'job' . I've heard of trainers or racing dogs, mushers etc. Using terriers in a sort of 'perimeter' fencing scenario to protect other dogs.. Sorry that was a bit off topic.. Would be interested in hearing if it works out for you though.
  14. Oh I'm so sorry, sounds like things are really tough at the moment. Hoping things improve for you soon
  15. Think those are funky ears? :p You should see my bullarab ;) He's the same age Very cute
  16. Ummm Some kind of pentax I'd have to check the specs.. if it's not worth much I'll just keep it :)
  17. Just wondering if there is any value in SLRs as collectors items. Or for film photography buffs? Got a couple of good lenses etc ... Am I better off keeping it or would it be worth some $$$ Thanks
