Sounds a bit dodgy, but who am I too judge? I would do what the breeders did to me when I first started inquiring about pups. Sent me a email thanking me for my interest, explaining that my chosen breed aren't for everyone and that they are particular about what homes the go to. And included a questionnaire. It was enough to throw me off at the time and make me do more research.

I wouldn't do it personally Making my money selling live animals makes me no better than a BYB IMO Say you work there for a while and then want to move on to something else. You then have this thing on your resume that lets everyone know you've been selling pets. To some employers this might be a worse thing to see than someone with your qualification who doesn't have much experience in the industry.

Esky was desexed at 7 weeks old by her breeder. It was done through key hole surgery and she only needed 2 stitches and minimal recovery time. She wasn't out of action very long. I picked her up when she was ALMOST 8 weeks old, and we've had no problems with her. I think this was best for us, considering the living situation I am in now.

I've thought about this heaps Corvus. I'm glad I'm not the only one. I've also considered chickens and ducks. Cull the roosters keep the hens. I don't think I could bring myself to kill anything though

You can buy clickers from pet stores or in supermarkets. The clicker is a marker, when a dog does something that you want. It is a quick way of saying "good dog that's what I want you to do, I'm going to give you a treat" Have a look on you tube for some clicker training videos 'kikopup' is good. It'll make more sense once you see it in action

Don't be afraid to look outside your state for the right breeder. Many are happy to fly their pups in to you.

The burnt bits are on the top of her thigh and a little bit halfway down her tail.

Well her top coat has gone yellow so I think singed is the right word. Phew, I'm glad to hear it should brush out. Her coat has been looking so good recently and I had to go ruin it!

There is a party going on at my place. I thought it was in my best interest to keep Esky safe, on leash with me all night so she didn't get herself into any trouble. Anyway, she backed into the woodfire heater and singed part of her coat :'( It's yellow and smells burnt . What should I do? Cut it off? Leave it as is? Advice Please? I feel like such a bad owner now
