  1. You should find a breeder you trust, explain what you are after and have them match a pup to you. That way you don't get sucked into the cutest one that happens to be hell on legs
  2. I like this name too Congrats on your new addition to the family. And well she is stunning
  3. I had an imaginary pet husky as a child. I also wanted a saluki. I remember wanting to cross them with Schipperkes and have a Skipperluki. :D (And this was before the DD craze started) I'm glad I am no longer 7 and love my pedigree husky :rpfl:
  4. Depends why the dogs are there. If they are on leash and under control of the owner doing some socialization work then why not? If they're running around at large and attacking other dogs then NO way should that be allowed
  5. I've seen Samoyeds in brace. Beautiful to watch them so in Sync
  6. I also saw a Polish lowland sheepdog then I've gotta say it'd be rare for me to see a purebreed in this town.
  7. Wow call me ignorant but i did not know sheep came in spotty patterns. How adorable those lambs are
  8. We've got one at Dog School. He is soo gorgeous and smart. We've also got a great dane and a St Bernard. It's a class of big boofers
  9. Meanwhile Petstock is having a Sale on their Iams products
  10. Those are great pictures. I LOLd at the captions too Looks like they're having a blast!
  11. They have to be registered with the council. Many councils have a 2 dog rule. Any more than that and you have to apply for a permit to keep them on the property
  12. Hope people are smart enough not to bring any food aggressive dogs there. Sounds awesome!
  13. I'm in the research stage too. These folk have all been very patient with all my questions. Once you meet a Lappie you'll be hooked, trust me Come and say hello in the Spitz breed thread. Lots of people there who love their Lappies (and huskies and samoyeds and vallhunds and akitas ) Plus there are LOTS of photos to tide you over until you can get a puppy fix
  14. An aussie bulldog is a cross between a British Bulldog and an American Bulldog.(I believe) It's a crossbreed
  15. One litter was born in WA recently. One of the puppies was flown to SA and I've met her. Lovely girl. Most of the Lappie breeders here are in eastern states.
  16. My sibe is fine with the other dogs in our family. Namely staffyx dingo, boxer, boxer x, boxer x and a chihuahua.
  17. My SIL has a white boxer cross. He gets sooooo dirty all the time. I'd rather a brindle because the mud blends in better :D
  18. Hey if they enjoy it then why not Esky is 8 months old now, but already over the standard height for the breed. I think she'll need an adult harness. We've been gradually building up her stamina with a walky dog attachment at low speeds next to the bike. I've also let her in front of the bike a few times so she gets the idea, but I'm not keen on doing much more until we get a proper harness. So she hasn't actually pulled and weight, just practiced being in front. I've also got to say your boys look very healthy :D Good job keeping them in such good condition
  19. Oh cool I definitely want to do this with my girl. She hasn't stopped growing yet though. I'm going to start hanging around the SA sled dog club races like a bad smell and hopefully pick up some hints
  20. I totally need to get some tips from you. Where did you buy your equipment?
