Has anyone had experience with these boarding kennels? Kismet Kennels The Paw House Canning Vale Boarding Kennels I'll be inspecting them this Friday night/weekend but would love to hear from anyone who has actually used them. I've already checked out and crossed off five places. Thanks!

Well done! I've set up a facebook account for Zeus and I use it to educate all his "friends" (ie. everyone I know) about puppy farms and pet shops. I think its worked on some because its less confronting than being lectured by a stranger. PS. Zeus has more friends than I do.

I like the idea of the donut collar. Zeus has an EC on now (got the snip this morning). He didn't notice it until he bashed into the door. Poor dog got the fright of his life. He seems used to it now. He likes that it catches food and he has licked the inside of it to death but he hates that he can't scratch his head/face.

My aunt surrendered their JR x for that reason. They didn't want the dog to cause any damage to their newly built house. Why didnt they think of that less than a year earlier when they got the puppy? Why didnt they consider walking and training their dog to prepare for the big move? The poor puppy lived outside his whole life and rarely had any human interaction because he was too boiterous (sp?). The same aunt had rehomed a german sheperd a few years earlier (also lasted less than 12 months). They currently have a pap x bishon -

Zeus hates the rain. He stands by the back door for ages until he absolutely can't hold on any longer (looks like a little kid skipping from one leg to another), tip toes out and dashes back in as soon as he's done.

When I first met partner's friend's wife she joked about breeding her petshop Jack Russel bitch with my pure Shih Tzu so we can call the puppies Shit Russels Luckily I've gotten to know her now and she's a lovely smart girl, her dog was a housewarming gift from a friend. I dont think there's any point telling people off for having cross breeds, by then its too late and they're not going to appreciate you attacking their beloved pet. We're better off educating them gently so that they will consider purebreeds/rescues for their next pet.

How cute! I'm constantly talking to Zeus. One day I was looking for his favourite toy and asked him where "Mr Duck" was. Next thing I know he disappeared from my side and was sitting next to Mr Duck under the pool table. I *think* he also understands names - when I call by boyfriend's or my siblings' names, Zeus will look directly at them. Might be a coincidence though.

I wish I could take my dog to work but everytime I ask my boss she laughs at me. It would also be too hard to take him on public transport, toilet breaks, etc. And I'm risking the chance of people bringing their cats in (Cats! Yuck!!).

My puppy wouldn't toilet on walks until he was six months old. We never had to rush back home. He would hold on until we got home and run straight to his toilet spot.

Zeus and I were completely oblivious to the storm last night. His first experience with thunder was the big storm in March and he didnt cope very well at all. Spent the whole night whinging and refused to go outside in the morning. He hates the rain!

I think its a cute idea but it depends on your audience. I wouldnt mind being served by a dog (with a closed basket) but most people I know would be grossed out.
