As a landlord with tenants that have a dog that's allowed outside only comments like that make me VERY cranky. You have been given leeway to have them in the first place. Why abuse the trust? If we had carpets that were close to needing replacement maybe I would have said yes to inside but they're not and if they move out in 6 months I dint want to advertise my house with a 'please don't apply if allergic to dogs' coz they've lived in it. There's a much bigger picture. I don't see any problem with them letting the dog in the house when they are home as long as they make sure there's no damage. That 'allergic to dogs' stuff is a crock, floors are steam cleaned when the tenant leaves as per the rental agreement and the house is cleaned. We moved in to our place with new carpet and haven't treated it like it's glass but we know that if it's damaged in any way other than normal wear that we'd need to replace it when we left. It comes down to picking tenants that will respect your property. We have flighted birds, dogs and wear shoes inside but when we leave this house will look as it was when we moved in.

If it's muscular there's a joint relieving gel called Rapigel that you can get at vets, horseland and some pet shops. This stuff is amazing, i actually use it on myself!

What food are you feeding? I find I only need to feed 1/2 the recommended amount of royal Canin and my dogs look great.

I am voting Sex Party. They have some wonderful policies. I used to vote Greens but this time I am getting a little worried about some of their policies. I agree with most of their stances, but not all. I actually emailed the Liberal person, Dee Ryall, for my electorate and told her i won't be voting for her and she emailed me back, not even trying to change my mind. hrrmph.

Sweet! Can't wait for Zac to meet Kairu, he's so teensy and adorable! But knowing Zac, he'll just step on him then run away... he's cheeky like that. I'll likely be bringing my two and a foster dog (if he's still with us) so it'll be Shishka the Basset x, Zac the Samoyed and a little terrier x.

The weekend after is the last weekend before we move and then the next weekend... well we're moving! So those two rule it out for me.... Then it's xmas, then new years... Maybe we could all book a 'date' in for the 2nd Jan? That way, it gives plenty of advance notice for those with rosters to contend with and no one usually works around new years anyway!

We had a similar problem, except it was KFC bones they found! We still don't know if it was one dog or two that ate them but luckily no one was ill from it!!!

Depends on the dog. some dogs will switch straight away but if your baby has a sensitive stomach then mix it in over 4 days, using less of the puppy and more of the adult each time...

MEEEE!!! I love the dog beach! Jump on google maps and have a look at the area (just type in Brighton dog beach, it knows where it is) and have a look. There's lots of parking down bay road but I usually park on the street that starts with S (can't remember the name) I vote we meet in the middle of the sand, as a group and go form there. Little dogs can stay around the middle and the big dogs can go nuts down the end...

I make cornflour muffins packed with vegies for my birds, i just take any sugar out of the recipe. I suppose you could do a similar thing for dogs, jsut mix in bits of chopped liver or something.

Moselle, no matter how anyone feels about your posts and opinions, I don't think any animal lover could not open heir heart to you now. I am yet to go through your loss with a dog but I lost my bird, who was as much a child to me as a human could be and it was devastating. A loss like this is hard, but let yourself grieve and don't ever second guess or blame yourself. This is something no one would ever imagine could happen. Sophie would have had an amazing life with you and you will have this again with another dog, but give yourself time.
