Cone Of Shame, Or Cone Or Opportunities?
BC Crazy replied to Kirislin's topic in General Dog Discussion
Classic !! :) -
Chloe's beautiful. She looks like she has found that wonderful, loving home every dog deserves & has you to thank for that. She will never let you forget it. Stunning girl Gotta love heart warming stories like this one. She looks so "at home" already :)

When I got Sonny he screamed every night for 3 weeks when I popped him into bed. I was so upset about it & I felt like a real meanie but I stood my ground with him & didn't give in to him but it was really hard. I would check on him lots to make sure he was ok but didn't engage him. Then one night he just stopped & has never cried again since. My girl has never uttered a sound, not even a wimper but then again she has Sonny beside her. That would be reasuring I think.

It is scarey pers when they act unusually & they can't tell us whats up. Our minds go into panic mode, I do exactly the same thing. I'm glad he is perfectly fine now though, they know how to send us into worry mode don't they :)

it's bad enough how the song stick in your head without imagining Izzy doing the dance as well It is the worst song ever isn't it? So bloody silly & it's not even in english. Just catchy I guess. At least now I can smile when I hear it now :)

Awesome ! Love them all :)

My girl is very vocal & has been since a puppy. She growles loudly, teeth snapping almost constantly when playing either with me or my other BC. Even when she is running along on her own, she is growling the whole time. Just think it's all the excitment & adreniline. I have had people stare in horror as they think she's being aggressive but she is just well, being Stella :) Personally I wouldn't be concerned. Just being dogs.

What Wierd Stuff Does Your Dog Do With You?

Awww Aphelion, how do you resist such cuteness ? :) -
Love it Frodos mum !! What a classic. Great title too. Hilarious :) Now every time I hear that song I will have a chuckle seeing that very funny pic of your fab 2 doing the sexy lady.

Both my BC 's were neutered at 6 months & Sonny never displayed any of this of behaviour. Stella however does hump poor Sonny after they have been playing on his side. When I have finished a game with her she will kind of hump the air for a few seconds. She sometimes also does it after I have groomed her once again in the air. She a very quirky girl my Stella. She has never displayed this behaviour on a human or anything else. I just ignore it as I think she is just too excited :)

Stella's pete is in the same toy range. Sonny loves that duck & he also has a bee hive with 3 bees that you hide in it & then I send him to "find them" & he gets them out again, which he just loves. He runs around with them in his mouth showing us just how smart he is :) I'm not sure who makes that particular toy though. He has had them for years now.

Yes Stans mum, by new I meant clean sorry should have clarified. Only said to OH the other day, as we have neighbours that look down off their back verandah onto our cloths line area, what must they think when they see 6 or 7 pelicans & what ever else need a wash on toy wash day hanging on the line then again do I care, not !!
-
Most of you probably already know my Stella has taken a "toy fetish" to a whole new level with "Pete" the pelican. It's a soft toy that makes a honking sound. Since the day she came home at 12 weeks Stella chose Pete out of lots of new toys I had ready for her. She carries it around in her mouth everywhere she goes, she sucks on tail end if she gets upset or is tired. He also doubles as a pillow sometimes. She won't go to sleep without him. When she goes out in the boat with us, Pete comes too. I have had to buy about 6 or 7 of them cause by the of each day poor Pete is saturated with slobber, so I get her a clean one. We do get a lot of double takes when we are off camping, people can't believe it when she greats them with a big fluffy honking pelican stuffed in her mouth  I often wonder why she has such a severe toy fetish & to be honest I was quite concerned when I first witnessed such odd / ocd behaviour. I do know that her mum was a pretty terrible one & wouldn't nurse her pups willingly & had to be held down at feed times so they could nurse. She too has a toy fetish & carries a fluffy ball around with her. Maybe a slightly genetic I did try & take it from her a couple of times when she was little but she just replaces him with something else so I figured just let her be. Also thought she may grow out of it but she is 2 years old today actually so that is not going to happen. Just adds to her quirky, very cute nature in my obviously very bias opinion

Help: Snotty Sneezy Pomeranian!
BC Crazy replied to kiwikitten's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
My heart dog had the exact same symptons & he had a collapsed trachea. I think it is also time for the Vet to take a look. Haredown Wippets is on the money here by the sounds. I do hope we are both wrong. -
A great friend of mine has a dachshund called Lola...because she is a showgirl  We bust out a bit of Barry Manilow's Copacabana and she does this funny little dance Minimax Boston is a great name. Our Lola is a born little show girl too. I hadn't know of the breed till I meet her. She is just a wonderfully natured, full of spark, little girl.

Exercising Reactive Dogs Thread
BC Crazy replied to megan_'s topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
Gee Wobbly, that's impressive work, isn't it? Wish there was a training group around here cause I would have my Stella there in a flash to help her gain some confidence. What a wonderful turn around for that boy -
Exercising Reactive Dogs Thread
BC Crazy replied to megan_'s topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
I love having this thread for that exact reason Pretty Miss Emma. I have learnt so much from others as well. It is like having a support group which you really need at times with our beloved reactive kids. They can really test you at times but the rewards are watching them move forward emotionally. Brings me to tears every time
