My Dog Has Dog Suddenly Started Eating Poo
BC Crazy replied to GoldenGirl85's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Oh bummer !! I have tried everything, dog rocks pineapple tinned & raw. Organic apple cidar vinegar. And guess what the only thing that works & Stella is 2 years old on the w.end. Pick it up asap ...... When out & about be very vigilant. Juice I too wonder why I spent lots of $$ on the "best food" when my girl eats sh#&t as well LOL. -
+ 1 from me. Bad typo error from me with the link. My phone is the pits to use the keypad on. O & I didn't notice you are in beautiful QLD. Delivery costs may vary but I only pay $5. Wonderful :)

Hi Nap, I usually float between HS fish variety, TOTW salmon variety or Earthborn Holistic catch of the day & buy online at natural pet store. Excellent service, very helpful, prompt delivery, great prices :)

I am going to try Wild Forage too. Thanks for the heads up OSS -
Hi SCC, bet you are excited about your new Cavy. I love all the excitment, fun & love new puppies bring. Enjoy & welcome. To answer your question. I use Advantix spot on with my 2 BC's. Does fleas, also helps keep mozzies & sandflies away. Does ticks but you should still need check your dog daily for those just in case. I am not sure where you are but unless you live in Vic. or somewhere where there aren't ticks, you still should go over your pup. They can pick them up pretty much anywhere. Sure there is less chance in suburbia than in the country say but they are there. We find Avantix very effective. My dogs are vac. for heartworm yearly at vets & I stomach worm them 3 times a year with Drontal. If you are worried about Ear mites you may be better off with Advocate, another spot on that does fleas & mites but NOT ticks. Heard really good about Comfortis flea tablets too. So that may be another to look into. Your right there are lots of spot ons & tablets around nowdays, just got to find one that suits your pooches needs. Hope I was of some help. Good luck with your new baby :)

Crikey Seems to me that CHA knows 100% what she is doing: asking for advice, experimenting with what works for her dog and taking her dog to training. Full marks from me, CHA. ETA: Congratulations on the break through this morning. Huge +1 from me.... Well done CHA

Oh, Justice looks way cool in his cape Snook. Another great pic

Mine ALWAYS swap bones and then lick each others empty plates clean. I'm sure they think the other got something better so the bones get swapped  weirdos Yes, I think that is why they swap too. Just in case the other one might have got a better one  Ours like each other bowls & plates & stuff as well

When ours have a meaty bone my girl will sometimes bring the bone over to me & put it on my lap as well. She wants it but she also wants me to have it as well Both of mine will swap their bones/treats many times between themselves while they are eating them too. Like to share or something  Strange behaviour really. I always supervise meal times, especially with precious stuff like bones or chic frames just in case of an argument. I don't know about the hierarchy thing in our house either. Sorry am not any help to you

Well done Tassie !! Congrats to you & your winning ,beloved bf's :)

I have just caught up with this truly horrific story as someone was kind enough to post for those of us who don't have Facebook. I hope they catch the b@$t@sd's who not only stole this poor little girl but to inflict such pain & horror to her. Just a harmless little pup Run free now little Orange girl You were far too good for this place sweetheart. My sincere condolences to all family concerned.

Greyhound Racings Dirty Little Secret Exposed
BC Crazy replied to Greyt's topic in General Dog Discussion
They make awesome pets. Just ask Stansmum & alike on DOL that have rescued these beautiful dogs -
I have just started reading "Think Dog", really enjoying it. Puts a whole different spin on how we view the interaction between dogs & humans. Also helps you read their body language. Very interesting thus far. It will help you understand why the 'dog on the bed' means so much more to them, the message it's sending them, than it does to us in some dogs.

Can't see why not. Long as your dogs aren't to big. Very similar to my camping table, although mine has very strong hinges/legs. I have to get OH to fold & unfold as it is way to hard for me but I leave mine up most the time. I just put some thin rubber matting from bunnings to prevent the dogs from slipping :)

Oh jesus :( persephone this is sounding more horrendous than I first thought :( why o why. Poor innocent pup.

Okay, I Finally Snapped And Was Rude
BC Crazy replied to Loving my Oldies's topic in General Dog Discussion
I love that tee shirt Stans mum. I need one that explains everything there is to know about BC's & why I love them & it's not because I own sheep. I have had people ask me why I have working dogs if they aren't used for "that" purpose. Even one of our neighbours said Stella belongs on a farm. I couldn't explain to her as she didn't have her listeneing ears on.
