  1. Yes dandybrush. Really good service & the coats are a great fit & excellent quality too.
  2. Awwwwww !!! Dear little Jake.Knew you could do it boy. We are in your corner little mate. Thinking of you
  3. I am in the process of buying another Cool Champion coat from Silver Eagle for my girl. Sonny already has one & he loves it. They work really well, great product
  4. Hi SecretKei, I just brought 2 of these crates from Allpet homes, a 36" & a 42". Don't know why but the 36" one is a better quality crate IMO as the zips seem stronger, the crate pad is thicker,it also came with a carry bag to put it in. The 42" zippers are a bit flimsy, crate pad is useless, no carry bag. It also was marked on the outside & I had to wash it anyway before I used it as it had a very bad, musty smell to it as if it had been stored somewhere damp. Having said that the actual crate construction seems quite sturdy, with reinforced corners & the frame seems strong to me. My boy is not at all destructive & we will only be using this crate when we go caravaning so it will be fine for that. Very fast delivery (next day) which is great but don't understand why the 2 crates are different as both pic's on Ebay were indentical. In hindsight, probably should have brought the 42" from K9 Pro as they have them on special ATM they look good too. Hope I was of some help. Sorry for the novel
  5. Might get some "Hydro" for my girl. Help her with her fear phase she is going through
  6. Both of mine do Zoomies at least twice a day. Flat stick,as fast as they can go. I love to watch them. I'd be worried something was wrong with them if they didn't as it is very much part of their daily routine. I can almost set the clock on when the little one will do it after being hosed off after coming home from the beach. Just before dinner in the arvo. Sometimes when I first let her out in the morning. she even throws in a few summersalts in for good measure Just letting off steam I think. I cringe sometimes as I don't think they are going to stop in time & run into the fence but they do.
  7. I have always thought to myself that formal type heel work looks like such an unnatural body posture for the dog. He really isn't even looking where he is going. I understand that it is the rules in obedience or formal stuff but I wouldn't want mine walking like that for any length of time for the same reasons as PF said. Thats just me though . I like a dog to feel comfortable as we go for a walk for pleasure & exercise.
  8. Stella does this often when she is playing with Sonny. The more fun she is having the more raised her hackles become. I always thought it meant aggression but I was mistaken. I have never seen her hackles up at any other time.
  9. BC x Aussie Shep perhaps. BC's can have blue eye's as well. Cute as.
  10. My boy went through fear stage where he would just bolt off if anything approached us, people or another dog at about 6 months of age From memory that stage lasted about a month or so. Same as your pup, he was fine previously then all of a sudden he just got this terrible fear & just run away. I just ignored the behaviour & put him back on a lead for a while till he regained his confidence. I didn't try to force him to socialize but I also didn't change our routine either. We still walked everyday & I made sure that we did double of all fun stuff to help build his confidence.Hope I was of some help
  11. I just ask for my 2 to be obedient. We stop, sit & wait at each curb, & usually when somebody passed us. They both walk on my left side, Sonny on the outside & Stella about 6 inches away along side him,she will get closer to him if she can she has always just slotted herself in there for some reason. Most of the time on loose leads.I don't mind if they stop to relieve themselves. Off-lead, Sonny never wanders more than 10 feet away from me, Stella has started to wonder a bit more to investigate things but I have her "check-in" with me lots then off she goes again. I want to teach her "with me",off lead so she will just close when I need her to then release her again. See how we go. Would love any advice on how to do that as heeling in any form is not one of Stel's strong points. I don't want a formal heel just a "close to me" would be great.
  12. Oh, very cute husky baby.Don't think they would suit me either though but I love them. Hope he finds a good home. Playing with the cars on a busy road, he was very lucky to survive by the sound. Good on you for taking such good care of him.
  13. I pop mine inside a small raw roo mince ball, gone !! ;)
  14. I ordered them from Chemist Direct.co.uk & they have already been dispatched.
  15. Hi Dandybrush OH & myself have just got back from 2 hour bush walk with our 2 larikin's
  16. Thank's for the "heads up" with the canine chemists idea. I just placed an order for a couple of DAP collars. we are going away for a couple of long trips in the car fairly soon & my girl is not the best traveler, gets very anxious, so you never know this collar may just do the trick. Thank's again.
  17. I just can't see myself without a Border Collie, I just adore them but if my health wouldn't allow me look after them properly I would have to rethink my options. But until that time comes I will go with my beloved BC's. Saw a lady go past me the other day on a small disability scooter & she had her darling Border sitting between her feet as still as, just beautiful. They'd just been for a coffee in town & were on their way home. She happily told me she was 89 years old before she zoomed off home. There is hope for me yet. I thought that was lovely to see.
  18. Would love to try out one of these on my 'edgy' girl. My vet doesn't stock them. Hope to find out someone that does in Australia from this thread. They sound like a great idea.
  19. I am very interested & certainly want to know more Corvus. I would love my girl to pay attention to me more when we are out walking & I am sure it would help with a couple of other problems we have when we are out like pulling on lead & trying to chase birds. Not a good thing. Stella is always in a hurry.I would love to slow her down alittle. She is fairly high drive, very focused, very food driven & extremely alert. If I knew just how to harness some of her enthusiasm & direct it towards me, I would be wrapped. Just unsure how to do it. I am all ears Corvus !!! Sorry, don't mean to drop in on someone else's thread.
  20. Hello everyone. We are traveling up to Calbulture QLD at the end of the month & have been unable to find nightly dog-friendly accommodation. I don't wont to leave the furry kids at behind. We are picking up our new caravan the following day. Thought maybe one of our Dolers might be in the know ;) It's hard when I'm unfamiliar with the area. Thank's in advance.
  21. Another vote for the wine Think we all have off days & as long as we are quick to realize our mood, end the lesson on a positive note, no matter how small, then time out, off home, whatever you want to do & start off fresh next training session. No point in trying to slog it out if you or your pup just aren't with it. We are only humane/canine.
  22. I had a vet nurse tell me one of my dogs was the ugliest dog she had ever seen.....in hind sight I wish I had of said something nasty back. My dog was a Pug and I thought she was gorgeous. I never went back, but I wish I had of made a formal complaint she was just so horrible to people, and wasn't much better with animals. BF Oh, how bloody rude !! You should of said, " And your the ugliest vet nurse I have ever seen". Rude people, I just can not tolerate them. Hope you have found a nicer vet nurse now. Wouldn't be hard by the sound.
  23. Me either. I don't allow anyone touch / handle my dogs except me.
  24. Good for you Put her where she belongs, in her place. Some people never fail to amaze me. How rude. Just what you needed a "know it all" to try & spoil everybody's fun at the dog park . Hope she got the message.
  25. BC Love, I am also thinking the very same thing. Stella was going really well on lead but lately she is pulling a bit. ATM I am trying the 'being a tree' thing. She looks up at me like "hurry up, what are you doing. LOL. You having similar problems? Last thing I want is Stella taking me for a walk. Sounds like a very good course & being able to access it over the internet really suits me too. Knowing the you have support is inviting. Hmmmm, see how little miss goes.
