  1. I would have loved to but unfortunately my pup would be to small for a staffy
  2. Another with petplan here, they are not the cheapest but they cover conditions for life.
  3. Could also be an upset stomach.
  4. I second this I always hate it when people blame the cat for wandering and causing trouble, its the uncaring owners that are at fault.
  5. 1. What is my relationship with the breed? (ie breeder, first time owner etc) First time owner. 2. Where and why was the breed first developed? As Ons said, in Belgium as a ratter. 3. How common is it in Australia? Not very common im my experience (Most people think she is a pugX). 4. What is the average lifespan? My breeder said 12-15yrs 5. What is the general temperament/personality? Very outgoing!! Mine loves other dogs and people, if you dont want a lap dog and constant shadow this breed is not for you. They are very sweet dogs that are very willing to please and very smart. They do have a certain amount of terrier like traits in their personaility, mine loves digging, catching and chasing bugs and is extremely rough and tumble as she throws herself into everything. 6. How much daily exercise is needed for the average adult? I have found my girl to be extremely active and loves to have interactive play like fetch and a good walk to settle her down abit. I was told they were active dogs before i bought her and she has lived up to it, but due to her small size it is easier to tire her out. 7. Is it a breed that a first time dog owner could easily cope with? Yes, as long as they are not treated like a toy and are given rules. 8. Can solo dogs of this breed easily occupy themselves for long periods? Mine is a solo dog and is by herself all day when i am at work. She is fantastic, i suspect she sleeps alot of the day as once i am home she doesnt stop till bedtime. I havent had any issues with her being distructive or any seperation anxiety, she seems to cope with it really well. I think the main thing is including them in everything once you are home and not just leaving them in the backyard by themselves (though this is definalty a inside dog breed, they need to be inside with their people). 9. How much grooming is required? Mine is a smooth coat so not much, a bath and a brush once a week or so is all mine gets. The long coats need alot more grooming though. 10. Is it too boisterous for very small children or for infirm people (unless the dog is well trained)? No, but care would need to be taken as to make sure children are gentle with them due to their small size. 12. When buying a puppy, what are the things you should ask of the breeder? I went out and actually meet the breeder and his dogs as i wanted to see what they were like rather than just being told over the phone.
  6. VAN with roo or lamb human grade only with earthborn and canidae bikkies. Also she get chicken wings, sardines and healthy left overs.
  7. Thanks Beth and Raz, it made me laugh too  Ons, Asti from a lovely breeder here in Brisbane, she is a Ravenspur pup. You are not wrong about them being energetic, she is a jumping bean with no fear, but she does settle for a cuddle. Mine loves all dogs too, she was the social butterfly at puppy pre-school that just had to play with everyone no matter what the size. She is such a great little dog,so confident as not alot rattles her and really loving, i just love her to bits. I would love to see some photos of your Mocha I used to check out the griffon thread but it seems to have died
  8. She should only get between 4-5kg, she is currently 1.9kg at 4months. I can never understand why they are not more popular as the smooth coat is so easy care, they love other pets and love love people. They are really just a great little dog.
  9. Thanks Aussie, she is divine when she is asleep  She has so much energy and is so agile, i plan on doing agility with her when she is old enough so hopefully i can harness it.
  10. The little monkey is growing fast, i will have to get more photos of her. I have added one with her monkey friend.  Bahahahaha! That has to be the funniest thing I have seen all week. He is fantastic :) Thanks Ping, she is always making us laugh, she has so much expression for such grumpy little face.
  11. My griffon climbed out of hers in the first few days of using it, i wouldnt have thought she could as she is so tiny but she is a never say never sort of dog.
  12. Oohh photos please! The boston was high on my breed list but i decided they may have been a bit to active for me so i got another squish face, my griffon. My pup though is nuts and never stops
  13. I have always thought that. My last dog had a few quirks, she was scared of some very mundane noises and things that if we didnt have her from an 8wk old pup we would have thought she had been treated badly. She would even run and hide with her tail between her legs at the click noise of the back of a tv remote being clicked back into place.
  14. Dobesrock i love the squishy faces, bulldogs are adorable i dont know how anyone could find them gross. melinda does he do well? I am planning on doing agility with her.
  15. When does the free shipping finish? Im considering doing a second order.
  16. I picked it - pedigree Gremlin :) Thats what i call her, or my helper monkey
  17. Yeah her little old man face is still developing . My sister was asking what she would look like when she gets older as she thinks she is just so cute, so i showed her a photo of my pups mother and she just looked me in the eye and said 'my condolences'
  18. I love the orange dogs :D The first pic is my pomeranianX who passed away at the start of the year. The second is of my new puppy i got abit over a month ago.
  19. What breed smisch? Couple of photos of my now 14 nearly 15wk pup, she is such a sweetie, especially when she is asleep as she rarely stops. What a little monkey! so cute! I bet you get a lot of questions from Joe Public asking what breed she is! Yep, not one person has picked her breed yet, the closest one got was pugXgriffon as they didnt relise they came in smooth coat. The most popular guess is a pug or pug cross something but ive even had someone ask me if she is a chihuahua. But when i tell them 9 out of 10 times i just get a blank stare as most people have never heard of them anyway.
  20. My family thinks she looks grumpy all the time  I call her a Gremlin too, though going through the puppy phase sometimes she is the after midnight gremlin .

  22. I swear my dog doesnt really have a mono brow in real life, she always looks happy
  23. I feed VAN with some kibble, usually earthborn or canidae. Will grab a bag of ziwipeak to try soon too.
  24. Thanks guys i have emailed her breeder and will see what he says. Thought it was weird as i have never seen a drop eared breed with up ears. And every time i look at her i think gsd :) as i know their ears are tempramental.
