It was around $350 with shipping. I bought a bunch of other stuff, memory cards etc on the same order so I don't know if I was charged more shipping because of that, or if they have a standard shipping rate

Just because a member has a difference of opinion it doesn't make them a troll! Yet when someone signs up just to post in one thread about that one opinion, loudly, it does make them a troll. Sorks has posted in the parvo thread in news ... to take a pop at registered breeders. Point proven :p

LOL check the header - Dogzonline Australia's pure breed dog community Plently of people here have cross breeds and unpapered dogs! You're just not meant to promote cross breeds sorks said DOL didn't say anywhere it was for pedigree dogs - I was pointing out that it did :)

I used digitalcamerawarehouse.com.au - I've used them a few times and they are really quick and reasonably priced.

Got my little blue monster! Haven't had a chance to play with him yet though, with the arrival of a new puppy last weekend and all. I ended up getting it from Australia, because by the time I factored in shipping from the US, it worked out around the same price locally, and because I'm going overseas again later in the month I can claim the GST back. Maybe if I can get the puppies to sit still I can try it out on the weekend (or test out the action shot capabilities lol)!

Seriously guys, stop feeding the troll?

Frenchie Fun Picnic Day - Sunday 12 August
minimax replied to Sares's topic in General Dog Discussion
Maybe you need to go so you can meet other Frenchie owners in the area! -
Sounds like he had been hit with a remote in his past life!

I was expecting a slow version of a springy thing rolling down the stairs lol

I have my teenage puppy in a sporn harness and it's not the miracle people talk about, but it's good for regaining some control when she tries to take off.

Survey For College Assignment (now With Survey Functioning)
minimax replied to bb_student's topic in General Dog Discussion
Same - and if you find someone else who does the survey with similar stats, I'll even pass on my email address and you can run a matchmaking service on the side ;) -
Haven't heard of Tarban Creek, and it's pretty close to me. That could be good, the "mainstream" ones get pretty feral on the weekends!

Works for me! The only off-leash parks I know are Cafe Bones (a bit meh, really) and Sydney Park in St Peters(not bad, actually, but tends to be lots of kids around which can be a downside if your dog isn't a kid person)

Any pug owners - Pugs in the Park is on this Saturday at Cafe Bones, 10am. It's the monthly pug meetup and is usually quite fun with a general turnout of around 40 pugs. Often we get spectators and photographers who come just to see the sheer number of squishies in one place :D

Sydney Dog Training Center Opinions?
minimax replied to samjohn's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
Hmmmmmm odd , to not splash your name on a good product :) That's what I thought. Along with the crappy website and hilariously self-absorbed email address it doesn't scream professionalism. -
Sydney Dog Training Center Opinions?
minimax replied to samjohn's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
Nope, he seems to be a bit like Madonna. -
I'd be more worried because someone probably doesn't know their dog is out playing in traffic.

Hot-dog eating! (or, you know, appropriate food :p )

Pick a date and see what flies. Saturdays are best for me though, or Sunday afternoon.

Yes I have it for both my pugs, I'm with Pet Plan because they cover things for more than 12 months, whereas everyone else only will cover a condition for 12 months. There are heaps of threads on here, just do a search.

I don't think its fair to judge the OP for using a dog walker. People use them for a variety of reasons (me included) and its not instead of me walking my dog, its to break up her day because she's home while I'm at work. I walk her each night, but she loves going out to the park twice a week with a few other dogs during the day. Accidents happen, and something like this could happen when you're walking your own dog, so leave the judgements at the door (hard to do on a place like DOL, I know ;)

That logic really only works if the only time you call them is to jam a tablet down their throat! If you call them 99.999% of the time for positive things, and the other .1% for a yukky thing, I can't imagine it's going to ruin their entire recall.

I teach my pups to pee on command, so treats are essential. Plus they are pugs, and saying they are food motivated is putting it lightly Sometimes Max, 9 months, still does a pretend wee (even though she hardly ever gets treats for wees anymore, since she's fully toilet trained), but since she uses a pee pad it's really noticeble that nothing comes out. I guess on grass it wouldn't be as easy to tell that they are just messing with you to get free food!
