You've sold me! I knew you had the TS3 but wasn't sure if that's what you were using on the latest trip - the photos seemed too good for a simple compact camera!!! The TS4 has a manual mode, which I don't need in this camera, so you're right - the TS3 is a better option for the price. Although I bet I can't find one, lol

I'm looking for a waterproof/underwater camera and the reviews seem to be fairly mixed, so I was wondering if anyone had any experience with them and could offer some suggestions? Right now I seem to be going between the Lumix FT4 and the Olympus TG-820 but am open to others. I think I like the Olympus more, because the features makes it look more fun (it has modes that can auto detect dogs faces, has fun/silly filters for images and video) but the lens on the Lumix is slightly better. It will be used mostly for fun, so I'm thinking the Olympus. But it's also not just for underwater use, I do dragon boat racing and want to be able to take a camera in the boat somtimes and not worry about it getting splashed so would like it to do decent shots and have a good zoom etc. I can't seem to find any reviews for either camera that actually give examples of underwater shots either, just normal shots, which is weird when reviwing an underwater camera. Does anyone have any suggestions, or a completely different camera I may have overlooked? edit: Just read a few reviews of the Nikon AW100 and it also seems to be in the running!

Have you tried calling SASH, the large emerhency vet hospital in Sydney? They should have some contacts for you, if nothing else?

I rent my house, its about 100000 years old (no, really. Our light switches are strings hanging from the ceiling, and there are fire places in every room) so our floors are the sturdy ones from the _olden days_ ;) even my landlords didnt mind me having dogs on them! When i was on holidays in Europe I found doggy socks in a pet store ... with little non-slip pads on the bottom of them so I got them for max :D I haven't tried them yet coz she loves skittering around on the floor.

That pugs are stubborn. ... Oh wait, that's actually true Most things people say about pugs are actually true, although the eye popping out thing is overly exagerated!

I have hardwood floors with a pretty strong varnish on it, and my pug doesn't do too much damage. The main thing that damages my floors is dragging furniture, so it seems to need something heavy to damage it, not light like a dog.

Linking to the US pug club is pointless. There are no set health tests for pugs, best way is to research breeders listed in DOL and go from there.

Sounds like if he doesn't do it when you carry him out of the bath - he's doing it coz he knows he's being carried into the bath! Start picking him up and carrying him other places, just for no reason. If you only ever picked me up to take me yukky places, I'd hate being picked up too!

Whatever bones etc you feed her, you just need to watch her and not leave her alone with them. People will try and scare you with "don't feed chicken necks/wings/etc as pugs can inhale and choke on them", but they are perfectly fine to feed, supervised. My pug inhales her chicken necks and chicken feet (I feed them frozen to make them last longer, so she licks them for about a minute then swallows them whole, it's totally disgusting to watch a whole chicken foot disappear inside her mouth :laugh: ) Roo can be a bit rich for puppies and isn't a very "well balanced" meat. Separate your dogs at feeding time to make sure they eat their own food, but if she doesn't like the tinned (smart puppy!) feed her proper food (raw meat, which it sounds like you are feeding your other dog already?). Skip the tinned and dry crap, go for the decent stuff.

I trained my pup to pee on command, that makes it easier to teach them to go where you want them to go.

I find the whole concept of taking time off work to get pup used to the routine to be a bit weird - you've effectively got her used to you being there, which isn't going to be her routine?

My pup is in the kitchen when I'm at work, locked in with baby gates. I wouldn't leave crated all day. My pup, now 8 months old, won't go to the bathroom during the day, she waits for me to get home and let her out despite the fact shes pee pad trained and is left with a pee pad. Also, my pup is more than happy to pee on the pee pads if the back door is closed (ie: during the night or when its really cold, but if the backdoor is open she goes outside to bathroom, so training to go on pee pads doesn't mean they won't learn to go outside, it just takes longer and requires more patience for them to understand both is ok!

I wonder if they are the ones that don't grow, or eat, or poop - they just sit there on the shelf and gather dust :D
