  1. If she's eating the meat off them and them burying them, what's the problem? Some dogs just like their bones 'aged for flavoring!

    Puppy Barking

But not something I'd be putting near a puppies eyes.
  3. I'm trying to think of the brand I've used previously - has got red wine out and the consequences of a pig's ear not agreeing with my Dally. Will have a look when I get home. I can see how red wine and a pigs ear would not go down very well
  4. Awfully presumptious of you O_o Just the facts m'am, just the facts. Except the dog isn't on tinned food, so the facts aren't facts. They are incorrect assumptions.
  5. LOL persephone - this is an udder tug http://www.cleanrun.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=3018&ParentCat=29 This is the type of tug that would be ideal for training the out if he tugs hard and OK on other surfaces - they are a harder tug http://www.k9pro.com.au/categories.php?category=Tugs/Synthetic-Tugs otherwise the french linen one is softer or from clean run http://www.cleanrun.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=3114&ParentCat=29 or http://www.cleanrun.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=3340&ParentCat=29 I was almost afraid to click that link, I really had images of cows boobs in my head
  6. I wouldn't call a diet high in grains or oats necessarily a good diet - and that breakfast sounds atrocious for a dog, so if you're looking for a better diet I'd be switching out that breakfast and adding in bones to the diet to start with.
  7. I don't need to go to creative lengths - they beg for them just because they come out of a packet in the cupboard
  8. I have pugs - they even do cartwheels for lettuce
  9. He's a keeper!!! My thoughts exactly. My conversation went a little like this. You know that American shop that has all the cool toys I like? Yes They have free shipping, even for international orders Oh thats good. Yep, I am going to go ordering, it is very exciting Okay......wanders off giving me a slightly perplexed look as to why it would be just that exciting. I save those conversations for when the package arrives
  10. Try something that foams up, that tends to be more effective in removing bits and pieces "stuck" in the carpet. I use vinegar for carpet cleaning, often with a bicarb mix.
  11. Guess it depends on if you're in Germany or Australia
  12. I sucessfully trained my pup to steal undies, bras and socks this way! Whenever she stole something, I'd swap for a treat to get it back, so she started stealing them and standing in front of the treat cupboard waiting for her treat
  13. Be aware that not all adult dogs like cuddling, or like playing - they aren't puppies. Of course, some do but don't go in expecting them to act like puppies. They might not even look sideways at you! Seeing as the OP is looking for a Samoyed I would be worried if the adult acted like it wanted nothing to do with them. They should be willing to at least greet the OP. I've had plenty of puppy people come and meet the dogs. It wasn't formal, they just met the dogs, played with them and chatted to me about the breed. Keep it informal and ask all the questions you want. A good breeder will be more then happy to answer your questions. Oh ok, I didn't see a breed mentioned in the post.

    Puppy Barking

My pup loves the water squirter, she worked out that being naughty meant she got squirted, so she would intentionally be naughty and then stand there with her mouth open to catch all the water I squirted at her face
  16. We've given that link several times, but she seems insistent on not using it. OK Thanks for letting me know. :) Thanks again, but to repeat I've contacted most of these and am on a wait list with two however, they said it was unlikely as they had a huge wait list already. We just see so many people come through here wanting a puppy, but get impatient and end up going BYB and it looks like that's where you're heading too, so forgive us if we keep steering you towards reputable breeder links. Have you tried this list: http://www.beagleclubqld.org/after-a-beagle/after-a-puppy/13-club-breeders As someone said, patience is a virtue. The "I need a puppy now" mentality can turn a lot of people off I spent over a year researching breeders before getting my first pug puppy, and I'm the queen of impatience. When I want something, I want it now (I'm an only child, that's my excus ), but more than that when I want something, I want it done properly.
  17. When Boston was a week old and I met his breeder in person for the first time, after talking to her on the phone and email for over a year, I sat cuddling the babies and playing with the adult pugs and almost forgot about her

  19. Yay! I have the FT4 in blue too, and it's great. I haven't used it much underwater as I dont go to many clear water places, but it gets wet a lot as I take it dragon boat and it copes really well. Just have to wipe the lens often, because when water dries on it, it leaves splotchy marks (found that out the hard way lol)
