I don't think such a nirvana exists! I work in a place where I do not deal with customers, and I deal with some extremely rude people - they just work in the same company as I do!! Don't you think thats why pets a so good for us. ) We dont have to guess what they are thinking, you know instantly if they like you, dont care, or if they dont like you its pretty obvious before they attack instead of finding the knife first then working from there. Far less stressful. Yet we still need to live in the real world with humans, so that's a pretty weird comment to make.

My pugs get them whole (or sometimes halved, depending on if they are having other stuff for dinner as well). It's scary to watch though, my 12 month old pug puts the whole thing in her mouth

I add garlic time my dogs raw mix. Not much, but a tiny bit. Small amounts is okay for them, like most things on the "not for dogs" list, just not huge quantities. -
People DO use the terms interchangeably but to me the word "lead" is the key feature of one. Yes, one is a lead and one connects to a lead.

I'll let my St Leonard's dog friends know, thanks for the heads up -
I'm curious - Why can it not be called a coupler? It can be, and usually is. That person is not the epitome of all things language.

Good-o :)

Yep agree. I would only have her outside if you are with her. I would be worried about others getting in with her. Or her getting out!

Did you actually read the article The victim, who did not want to be named, left his vehicle and approached the pair where a short conversation ensued before Max, who is classed as a dangerous dog by the council, leapt through a window of the car and attacked the man. The victim, who was last night undergoing surgery so doctors could examine the full extent of his wounds and potential damage to his Achilles tendon, denied that he had provoked the men. I'm pretty sure Megan is referring to the fact that the article says that the man who was bitten was not attacking the owner, only that they were having a conversation. The owner said he was being provoked and threatened where does it say that? In the full article linked, which I presume people read before jumping to conclusions http://www.townsvillebulletin.com.au/article/2012/10/26/368698_news.html

My package is currently on the plane, flying over here! Although it should be arriving in Australia shortly, it was processed through New York on the 23rd. -

Feeding A Raw Diet, Without Bones?

Because most vets have not much education in the field of nutrition. The kibble companies tell vets (and everyone in general) it's a balanced food and everyone believes them. -

You better keep her off the beer as well, just to be safe! -
Don't forget it's usually cyclists being abused and yelled at, so she probably saw the chance for "revenge" and took it

I keep all my pups on harnesses as they are pugs and collars aren't good for their breathing. As long as you get the right harness (the puppia ones/ones with wide chest areas can be detrimental to leash walking as they can become strong pullers). Try to go for function and not those wanky pretty ones, simple rope harnesses are fine. My 8 week old flew up from Melbourne and she was fine. Pups fly all the time!

Oh this is great advice thank you! I didn't think about mess, good idea. I'll see if I can get a baby gate to block off the side office as it won't fit a pen, but we will need to be in and out. Sorry if this sounds daft, but what sized bone do I grab? I have no idea how big she is or what is suitable for her size. I think she'll be 11 weeks when we get her and she's a beagle. Also, smoked bone from pet store or fresh bone from butcher or rawhide bone? Fresh bone! forget any other type of bones exist. Personally I give my guys lamb shanks, often trimming a lot of the meat off. Sometimes I leave the meat on if I reallllly want to keep them amused!

Barf Vs Super Premium Commercial Foods

Not nearly as many chemicals and crap as dry food though, but I make my own raw mix with human grade food so I know what's in it. I wouldn't ever feed something like VAN that comes in vaccume sealed packs in the fridge, I got a sample pack of that from the vet once and it stunk like chemicals and preservetives. The pre-made ones I used to use, Canine Country, were frozen, not fridged, and with human grade ingredients. -
Luna was on my list of girl dog names. One of my four legged family members has a three syllable name and I think I'll stick to one or two in the future, unless I was really fond of the shortened version of the name. I do like Pond too. Quirky and cool for the Dr Who reference! :D I don't want Dr Who but Pond is so on my shortlist for the next animal I get, regardless of species!

My puppy does this - to the point where we've put a "gents" sign on his crate However, his main bed isn't his crate, he sleeps on my bed (which he used to pee on too , luckily I got him out of that habit pretty darn quickly!) so it's not quite the same. He pees in his crate because my other dog hassles him when he pees and he can't get a moments peace anywhere else. Seems your friends puppy is in the habit now, so needs to be trained out of it. Lots of praise/treats for going in the right place, training to pee on command, taking out of crate regularly to pee so it doesn't become urgent etc

+ 1 I get comments on the condition of my pugs, especially on their muscle tone and their coats.
