Very cool! I like their thinking too!

Me too. Dug for PM! Not Gus though, that would go badly. And I'm glad. Sometimes you gotta take initiative when you want sense out of them...haha.
-
Congrats to you both! Hopefully next month you won't be still taped nude to a light post or anything...haha.

*voice Not noise.

Dug from Up! for Gus. I make this noise when ever I talk for him (I can't be the only one who does that...) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LEZ_xL1S4hs&feature=youtube_gdata_player

This week is just Rosie hanging out being a moocher. She is very pretty when she actually stops for a moment! (Link to the original)

Hannibal shamed himself? We are in, the poor dogs have been left out this week while I help mum move. Funnily enough they're not much of a help... We will do a green salad of sorts, potato salad and napkins/plates/cutlery etc. Will bring Gus, Rosie and might ask Napoleon, Gus's heterosexual (questionable...) Life partner.

A kid has done that to Gus before, seemed like nice kids and were throwing the ball for him at the beach and after about five mins the kid had him in a headlock and his face in his! I lost my mind and told the kid hes very lucky gus doesnt bite but thats not how you get the ball back, said to the same to the parents and got 'well if he bites he should be on lead' He doesn't, but I wouldn't blame him if he did.

I think a lot of farmers and the like would be happy to have him come visit! Haha. Rosie went off after a rabbit the other day and to my great shock she called off him when asked. He definitely would have been dinner had she not…

I Hoped I Would Never Have To Ask This :(

Constantly. That or the dog is exhibiting what people consider extreme submission so it must have been beaten. My mum is like that, her excuse for her pom x going mental is that he was taken to the shelter so he has a supposed fear it's going to happen again. Uh huh. Perhaps your mum and mine read the same book on doggy psychology... -
Hi guys, just wondering if anyone knew if ticks were a worry up near Echuca? We might do an advantix just before anyway, but just want to be sure! The maps online say it isn't tick country, but you never know. Anecdotal evidence may say otherwise...

Lots of variables! I’m no less confused but we should get her ownership cert today in the post so all is fixed. Lucky she didn’t get out as she’s the master of losing collars and tags and being a fine to thin looking whippet x some dummy might have thought she was a stray! All fixed now, lucky!

Thanks Ladies! Anyone gonna make January? We're tossing up a yay or nay still.

I have two that would be overly happy to play, but alas not much use for teaching calmness as its a battle we are still fighting but we are in the west. Pm me if we can help at all!

PS kismet is beautiful too!

Forget any one who would judge you. For what? You were having an extraordinarily hard time and made a really hard decision for you and your dogs and you're in a different place now. Skyefool you are an inspiration, the only irony is that she isn't a big black dog! Haha. I for one look forward to watching you both grow together.

Aw gawd she is adorable!

A Follow On Thread For Those Who Now Have Their Puppy
Steph M replied to julesluvscavs's topic in Puppy Chat
Just booked an Australia day camping weekend in Echuca for us and the dogs. Probably going to regret this given the knob-dog status at the moment, but they will have a blast! -
OMG Victoria does this too  round and round and round, then you pick her up, put her 180 and she just keeps going I thought she was just shpesh  My Pug is like "Oh my god, there's steak!" and off he goes with this desperate look on his face. That mental image is truly priceless! Haha. I am laughing so hard!

No, should have been clearer! Doh! It's the change of ownership on her microchip. It's like $5 admin fee to the record keeping company and has been paid now. I just had a momentary freak out that if she'd taken off she might not have found her way back. My mistake for not being thorough and making sure I had it all, but she's our first adoptee so I'm a novice!
-
Quick question for the rescue brains trust. Is it common practice for the change of ownership fee for a microchip to be included in the adoption fee? We definitely filled out a pet register change of ownership form and were given a copy back but I just got a missed call from them asking me if I could pay them to finalise the transfer (which means she hasn’t been in our name as I assumed for the last 4 months but anyway…) I don’t mind paying it. No biggie, just got me baffled!

What do they do with pups they don't want to show then? Drown them to keep them out of the hands of the majority pet owning public? What that usually means is that they won't breed JUST for the pet market. The dogs not wanted or identified as show prospects are sold as pets. Thats exaxtly how it was meant, lucky. No drowning as far as i know! It does devalue the pet buyer a bit too, which is a shame but each to their own and whatever works for you. Then they are breeding for the pet market. I have no time for breeders like this. Best let everyone who wants a pet get one from a BYB then, if registered breeders are that exclusive. So they SHOULD be drowning them then....?
