Was talking to a breeder today who said $3000 ish for a pup. (Dad is looking - just needs to talk mum into saying yes )

Thanks My vet was involved in a research thingy on it a few years ago and has scanned many dogs and can tell if they have it, so will most prob stick with them

Has anyone had anything to do with PKD in dogs and could maybe tell me roughly how much it would costs to get a dog tested for it? Thanks ETA I will be talking to my vet about price, but not ringing up at 7:30 at night to ask! thought someone here may have a rough idea

We did all this, got from a very reputable breeder, so many people told us how great she was, we did a lot of research into the breeder. The first time we rung her about a problem she told us not to be silly and that we were over reacting, the next time, she never bothered to contact us back, she was no help and we lost our boy at the age of 8 due to the problems he had with his heart ;)

I was thinking the same, just feed him normally, maybe add a little more each day to it and see how he goes.

Sounds about right, maybe even a bit cheap from what I have heard? Duke was $1600 9 years ago

Kaos has always been a SKINNY dog, up until the last 6 months, she has piled on the weight (ok, she looks like a healthy Staffy, but I am so used to seeing her skinny that she now looks fat ) She is now 4 years old, and something must have changed to cause her to keep the weight on It is a PITA trying to keep weight on them, good luck with it

I always put a bit of mince, or some warm water with stock in it (in winter) or an egg in the dry, how boring to have it on its own, I wouldnt eat it! My dogs get 10 mins to eat, if any food is left, it is removed, but they do only get one feed a day Maybe your dog just isnt hungry?

I would never crate 2 dogs in the same crate, too much of a risk... 99% of the time they may be ok.. not worth it to me. I am thinking of getting a ute next time round, and will be putting cages on, I just have a fear of the harness/lead breaking, so would feel safer with cages

I just got two dyson vacuum cleaner bucket thingys of fur out of my cat, each time I do it I am amazed at how much fur you can get out of them!! I get a heap out of Altas, but the stuff that came out of the cat!! WOW!!!

Kaos talks all the time, so i started to say the word speak as she did it and rewarded, it didnt take her long - but she does have to work up to it, i will say it a few times and she lets out a little growl, like she isnt sure if she should bark, or if it is a trick and she will get into trouble

Looks like puss is going to get operated on We are going in Wed afternoon for At to get his cartrofin injection and Bell to get her foot checked, it isnt getting better at all

Tell me about it! I have a cat who looks like she will have to be knocked out next week to get one removed. Vet couldnt find an entry hole, but her foot is infected, so she is on anti bios for a few days, if no better by monday, off to get it opened up. Grrr
