    Where To Go?

i went to our dog club about 6 months before i got Atlas, would often go and check it out
  3. Skin tag, some of the older dogs at work have them. Atlas had a black wart thingy spring up over a few weeks, vets said it was ok, but i didnt like the look of it so got it removed.
  4. I just want to comment, i had 4 teeth removed when i was about 15, they gave me an injection to numb me, pulled the teeth out, and sent me home, i didnt take any pain killers either.. kaos has a tooth due to come out very soon, so not sure what i would do with her... I know no matter what she will milk it for all it is worth Atlas did have pain killers when he had his dew claws removed
  5. Atlas is far from 'lively' and he is just as bad, so you still have a chance of getting one that will eat anything he can I have been home an hour, Atlas has tried to eat 3 rolls of toilet paper, tried to steal my dinner, ate some paper that fell to the gound (hope it wasnt something i needed *sigh* ) all in one hour.. Actually, i never thought of a muzzle? AT least i could relax when in the house, instead of running around seeing what he is into
  6. Mine also love it, cats dont get access to the outside, so no worries about poo there, i have litter in laundry, with a cat flap, door shut all the time, dogs cant get in there!
  7. so do i, but if they hit the ground hard enough on the side, the lids pop off, took me months to get At to drop on command, but he learnt that the lids pop off after one go at it! I always double check the door to the locker i keep it in is shut, but the other day i was a bit upset over some stuff and didnt double check.
  8. both of them wanted breakfast the next day, were a bit upset they didnt get it, i hope he is ok
  9. Atlas and Kaos got into 7kgs of dry food the other day, At was very bloated, i didnt feed him for a few days and he is ok, this is the second time they have done it
  10. i have heard of this before, but never seen it, my dogs have had Canine cough and live with cats, cats have always been fine.
  11. oh, i just saw this yep, i had the same thing with Atlas, his lump wasnt as big, but it was there! vet checked it over, said he had ran into something ( didnt see it happen) and with time it went away
  12. should have just said what the op was. I would have done the same thing, many lumps, yes, i would have gotten them removed
  13. thanks, i love bella, i had some time off sick the other week and was a mess cause i didnt see her for 2 weeks, i walked in all excited, she got up, looked at me, and went back to bed, nice to see she feels the same about me
  14. I wouldnt do it unless they NEEDED it done. My old man was 10 when he had to go under, to get a lump removed, took him a long time to get over it (that was the final one for us, we said after that he would never go under for anything, that it was just too much for him)
  15. Can i ask, is there any reason they share a crate and you dont get them one each? I would never crate two dogs together, just incase something happened, there is no way they could get away for each other, the thought makes me sick 5 or 6 degrees cold for them? God, at the moment where i am we are lucky to reach a max of 5 or 6 degrees during the day! Mine get kicked out at 6:15 when i leave for work, and most mornings it is about -1 - -3, the other day we had a heat wave and it was 2 degrees when i left!
  16. Where are you? I have seen many dogs and cats chipped, the biggest sooks are the cats, and every Staffy ETA If they are worried about being bitten, muzzle the dog, for a few seconds of pain, you have a dog that is chipped for life.
  17. one of the vets already asked me if i die, can he have Atlas I also pet sit the other vets dogs, so yeah, very happy there!
  18. i wish! but im happy with my vets now they adore my pets and i wont be going anywhere else
  19. I dont use the vets. Havent for years (not impressed when the only solution to our dogs problem was to PTS, and that they could to it on the spot and get rid of him for us.... went to another vet and got another 4 years out of our boy!)
  20. Daxilly - i have seen a few dogs with it, i have to say, the dogs that have been hit the worst are those that live out of town, who never meet other dogs, one little dog i know was very very sick for a few weeks with it I believe it can travel 1km (?) on the wind, so it can be passed around very easily. I no longer vaccinate, my dogs have still gotten it, even tho they have had their vaccinations. Unless ineed to leave them at work for some reason, they will not be done again. Depends what vet you go to I know 2 who dont do Parinfluenza and Bordetella in their C5. you have to get a C7 to get them both Really? Well that's really misleading of them considering it's pretty much an industry standard of what's in C5. I know of several bording kennels who demand all dogs have C5 vaccination. And I'd bet good money they wouldn't be impressed kennel cough isn't being vaccinated against. Nor would I & I'd move to a different vet if they tried to pull that stunt (not that the ones I go to would). that is how we found out, i work in a kennel... talking to the vets one day and they came out and told us that theirs doesnt have CC in it, we went nuts at them, they now know what we need for boarding and now ask everyone if they are looking at kenneling.

  22. Just keep her warm and quiet, not much else you can do. Does she have a secondary infection? If not, why is she on Anti bios?
