  1. if you do a search, you will find heaps of info on raw feeding!! One of my dogs HATES roo, she wont go near it, but the other will scoff it down! Kaos wont even eat a roo bone!
  2. time goes too fast, thinking of you today
  3. i will add one in the title, thanks for that!
  4. i didnt even do a dol search ;) thanks!
  5. Im sure ages ago there was a link on here, when i googled DOL came up, clicked on one thread, and it directed me to another thread but that one was removed. Someone has to have something? ;)
  6. Dont want to cause a huge debate or fight, but does anyone have any info on this? I have tired Google and must be searching for the wrong thing, or am just hopeless ;) I want to show a friend, thanks!!
  7. no, dont walk her, exercise will set it off more, and you may spread it to the other dogs. I leave my dogs together when one gets it, the dogs have it before symptoms show, so they both would have been around it. If they both get it, they do... but saying that, out of all the times kaos has had it, atlas has only gotten it once
  8. if the dog hasnt hurt itself and does not have anything stuck in its mouth/throat. it sounds like canine cough, do a search and you will find heaps of info on it.
  9. I just taught my 4 year old dog to fetch, neither of my dogs do it! With her i got a soft toy. I started by putting it in her mouth, and taking it off her, over and over, didnt take long for me to offer it to her,and she would bite it, i then added the word Fetch. From there i put it on the ground, and further away till she would go get it, i then changed her to a bucket and a ball, and she now plays fetch
  10. When i work they do, my days off they dont. I get up at 5:50am and am at work azt 7am, they usually get fed about 6:15, on my days off it can be anywhere between 7am - 12 noon, sometimes i dont do it till im about to goto bed! I hate animals that beg for their food! Sumo (kitten) started doing it, so i have moved from feeding him in the morning, to the afternoon (they get dry food all day, but wet food once a day)
  11. I also didnt use it for the 3 dogs i crate trained, (bulldog, Bull Terrier and Staffy) all dogs were fine in the bigger crate!
  12. OT - I got a tub of that new Beneful 'fresh' food the other day in a show bag - simmered chicken with rice, green beans and wild rice - for dogs but the cat went nuts for it. My boss got some the other day! she saw it and wanted to see what it was like.. still stinks like tinned food
  13. I feed rice if my dogs are sick, i know it isnt their normal diet and dont feed it otherwise (unless i have left overs) but i find it blocks them up and stops the runs, if it works, i will use it My cat also got rice and chicken the other day, she liked it heaps!
  14. I was given a whole kangaroo frame for my guys ages ago, i knew someone who was hunting (licensed) and he asked did i want one... was great.. but i Kaos wont touch it!! ARGH!!! So now i just get a tail now and then for Atlas, and get her a beef bone
  15. I like to take a risk from time to time It was around town last year something shocking, Kaos got it, and Atlas got it very lightly, i just kept them inside and warm when i could, since i knew it was around, i kept them home as much as i could. I know a littler of 2 week old puppies that got it, one didnt make it (RIP I rushed her to the vets but nothing they could do for her ) but the others all got over it and were fine
  16. dogs can have it and now show signs of it for a while.. I can see PF is typing, so i agree with whatever she says
  17. I wouldnt worry if it was my dog just a warning, i remember reading about a dog that died from a chip packet, put their head into it to lick it clean while the owners were in bed and couldnt get it off, i think it was a bull terrier as well
  18. My Staffy can not hold on, she is prone to getting UTIs so i dont like having her to hold on. She goes out before i goto bed (whatever time that is, if she is in bed at 9 and i dont go in till 11, i wake her up and take her out) and she wakes up at 6am (yes, every morning) with me, i take her out before i do anything else. My Bull Terrier, tonight he has put himself to bed about 1 hour ago (bit after 5pm) and he now wont move till i kick him out at about 6:30 tomorrow morning!! They both goto bed in their crates, but the doors are open and it is their choice if they want to sleep in there, or on the lounge or elsewhere (anywhere but my bed) If i didnt get up at 6 each morning, then i would prob try to make her wait a bit longer, but seeing i wake up the same time, i dont see the point. If its my day off i will usually have a nanna nap to make up for not sleeping in ETA If i didnt have to work tomorrow, Atlas (bull terrier) would stay in bed till about 10am... so 5pm till 10am in bed alseep.... what a life!!!
  19. Bella: Atlas: Kaos: (3 cats, 2 dogs)
  20. Hey guys, my turn I have had a few sigs made, but the only one with all my pets in it is my Christmas one! I have heaps of photos, my photo bucket is Terrorbull and there is a folder called pets, feel free to steal others if you rather use them Sumo: Fanta:
  21. I use the monthly heartworm/worming tablets for the dogs, the spot on worm treatment for my cats every 3 months. My kitten will be vaccinated this year, but that will be his last unless he needs to be kenneled, the 2 girl cats were also done last year, but only because they needed to be kenneled, they also wont be done again unless needed. I cant find a cheap place to get titre testing done, i was quoted $260 from my CHEAP vet, another vet wont look at it, so i dont know how i can get around that, i cant afford that much for 2 dogs to get tested... so unless the price goes down fast, i will only vaccinate them if they are going out to my work for some reason.
  22. She was seeing Andrew Litch.. I have her records with me as I made them print out a copy which I gave to the vet today. I guess because of her previous history with bleeding he wanted to run off and do all blood tests. ahh ok, well fingers crossed they can work it out poor girl
  23. i would ring them and have a chat, what vet did you see? They should be able to fax all her records to you or your new vet
