I guess they charged for the work of doing the compounding themselves at the Clinic and thus the higher cost. I would be asking if this was the case, and what options they are prepared to offer. Gawd, I dislike friends like that. My rule of approaching any dog is to ASK its human if it is allowed to touch them. Simple and saves grief.

We can be hippies together then. Never been put off either. Always preferred males dogs for their loyalty & love. Dear Dog though, never had the fun with them that I had with ZsaZsa BitchGirl Vizsla. She was a proper tart. Got us disqualified from Obedience because of her wilful nature more than once. If one can have two Heart dogs, then ZsaZsa was that. :D

Our Ma is like that. No male dogs ever but she had 5 sons. Go figure that one out. Quite a few weeks ago, Horrible Herbert found he had something between his legs. He came into to show me with a kinda dazed look on his face. Luckily he obeyed the 'crate' command. He lay there for over one hour to recover. He's still a little shocked I just ignore him.

I would not wait until January. If there is evidence of a 'problem' after 6 weeks, I consult the Vet. I would wonder if there is liagament issues or something. And yes, My Vet thinks I am neurotic but he prefers caring to ignoring. Good Luck and Welcome to the forum. Maybe photos of your girl too please? :)

I tend to not think of that as panicking. Our dog having troubles breathing, coughing etc is a worry. It's always better to respond to what is happening with them rather than let matters go. One lucky puppy I think. :)

I was wondering if there might be a chance a dog could still need to do 'more' business? Herbert goes outside, does everything. We dont 'do' play. Then he declines coming back inside. We can wait 15 minutes & he goes all over again.

I thought that $4000 was to become a Delta Dog trainer? Hopefully the lovely kepliecuddles might see this thread and give some info. One of her furbabies did the training recently. There are some others here whose dogs visit Nursing homes & they too could give more advice. My ZsaZsa was a Good Canine Citizen in the USA. The cost was nothing like $4000. ( sadly they could never train her to not counter-surf.)

this is just my .2 cents and do get your Vet to tell you if I am on the right track. This may not be the actual kennel cough of the type that can be rampant in dog kennels. ( the Viral or bacterial type). Kennel cough is a term than can be given to what is likely bronchitis. If Puppy inhaled anything weeks ago, it may have caused inflammation & hassles now. Years & years ago when Tibor was young, he developed kennel cough. He had not been near other dogs but got chilled & picked up an infection. My Vet said kennel cough until she did a full examination & checked his history. for sure, he had the discomfort of the cough & honking. I hope you find an answer, donatella. It's so upsetting when our furkids are poorly.
