  1. @juice DO YOU STILL HAVE JACK & ZELDA, I thought you had 2 lovely dogs for company. My brother sprays his dogs with fly repellent for horses , said it works well for them.
  2. @Scrappi&Monty I had a sample of vets all natural Balanced Life , your description about its smell is spot on there was also quite a lot of Alfalfa & Lentils floating in the mix with water, I'll not be buying any. HA HA
  3. I wish each topic had lots more updates, I'm always left wondering what has happened to these dogs & owners. Like a good book with the last chapter missing.
  4. Thanks for the video @Papillon Kisses Pandi has tartar on her top back teeth both sides, she is only 16 months old. We are going for vaccinations soon & will get the vet to check her teeth, she loves her water bowl so thought the additives for tartar control would be a good idea.
  5. Has anyone had success with Tartar control liquid in the dogs water bowl Some dental foods say they have Sodium Tripolyphosphate for Tartar removal , would this be in any water additives My Pet warehouse has some liquid additive for Tartar removal, I'm not sure what's in them, or how good they might be
  6. @Caitlin888 Have you found a food your dog likes, how is he going with behavior training & everyday routines.
  7. @Scrappi&Monty I brushed her teeth for a few weeks & the top back teeth don't get any better , Plus i felt pretty stupid brushing doggy teeth Pandi was fine with the tooth brush. I use to give her chicken wings i held it for her so she would not gulp it down, her teeth did not get cleaned from the wings . Outside in the yard there are so many ANTS that bite, so she would have to have her bone inside , that would be ok on bath day.
  8. I will have to try the tinned food & see how she goes on it . Would brisket bones be good for her teeth, which sort , Lamb? there is tartar on her top back teeth, it has been there for a few months, i give her veal tendon 1 a week.
  9. I add some green beans & carrots , & cooked chicken or beef sometimes with the dry also.
  10. Sounds like you love her so much & with all the time and effort , i think you should keep her in your family
  11. Pet Food Reviews au, has said Frontier Pet , & Ziwipeak is the best you can give your dog , that was why i have been feeding these as the whole meal. While my dog loves eating these foods , they just are not right for her scooting problem. Stay Loyal Turkey & Salmon small bites seems to fix her problems , she eats her meal & is very happy, no scooting I'm pleased to say.
  12. I would never use any harsh training with my girl, I am with her all day, so keep an eye on what she is doing. Poodle Forum had one lady post how she trains her dogs not to bark , by hitting their butts with a Fly Swatter, I thought it quite extreme . This lady also trains her dogs not to jump on her , by stepping on the dogs feet if it jumps, she says the dogs adore her. We are talking about small Toy poodles that this lady has. The saucepan noise ect, was for larger standard poodles.
  13. I saw a video on RSPCA shop site , it was a square thick plastic mat with little raised prongs or square bits & the dog licks at the food for ages. I like tennis balls in the bowl, that should work. Throwing kibble all around the lawn, would be good fun for the dogs, watch them so they don't fight for the food.
  14. @Ngaire Ingham Has your pup had the op on his palate, is he ok now , did you let the breeder know about this problem.
  15. @Caitlin888 People on Poodle Forum, stop counter surfing by leaving traps , like tin plates with meat & tobasco sauce on it , or a line of saucepans tied together with string so when dog takes 1 the whole lot bang on the floor, it alarms you & the dog. See what you can come up with, all the best.
  16. It sure is amazing how a little dog can put so much life into a home I hope you feel better soon
  17. Nesting birds are very territorial, we have Willywagtails & Crows nesting at the moment, they chase each other a lot.
  18. Yes surely something can be done , anything to keep pup with mum just a few more weeks. 3 week old pup is incredibly fragile & very difficult to look after well.
  19. This could be good for Pandi, she reacts with way too much barking when little kiddies come over & play, I have just been putting her leash on to calm her down.
  20. @blackberry maybe if you spray the dogs coat with a silicon grooming product it might help the burrs come out easier.
  21. With any donation for people or pets, it's not likely you will know if it lands in the right hands.
  22. Dog roll food reminds me of devon roll i put on kids sandwiches, I have not tried this type of dog food
  23. How frightening to see this happen, poor little Orla, it's good you were there at the time , to help her.
