  1. Beautiful shots Grizabella When shooting through the glass/Perspex do you put the lens right up to it or do you cover the camera to avoid the glare? Can't wait for Spring to become a member, if I get a shot half as good as the ones on the pages I will be over the moon :D They announced on the news tonight that Karta is expecting Leanne
  2. Thank you all. I had such a ball there with my camera and can't wait for the weather to improve to get back there, I still have the big horses and the adult dogs plus the other farm animals to shoot Leanne
  3. The ponies :) the Rooster one of the cats Leanne
  4. Went to my cousins place today with my camera. There is just so much to photography I am going to need days :D First up her 6 month old Bloodhound called Roo, he is so big but so squishy Marco the the very sweet 9 week old Boxer baby Leanne
  5. Am loving the photos and video, so much fun and so much love Leanne
  6. These where taken down the river, it was getting very dark now and someone had "borrowed" my batteries for my flash the flour mill Leanne
  7. Thanks guys Manual was scary to start with as all my photos where coming out very dark but eventually after changing settings and lots of "check to see if that made a difference" photos I got there  These where taken at the old Railway Station, it was starting to rain harder now but I was determined or is that just crazy this fence looked very nasty Leanne
  8. Went out yesterday to practice manual settings . The weather was horrible, light to heavy drizzle, overcast with the occasional burst of sun. Think I left it a bit late in the day as it was quite dark but made for more of a challenge :D Taken at the local wet lands. Leanne
  9. Thanks guys :D I love watching my boys race (they have been racing since they where 5) but also the big bikes etc, the only thing is they go so fast and are so loud it is hard getting a good photo. Most of the time it is over in just a few seconds but I have learnt to take ear plugs, makes it easier to take photos when you fingers aren't in your ears Leanne
  10. have look at this T I have watched it heaps and have found it very helpful and easier to understand than some other videos (more so the second video) and I think I am starting to get it but need way more field practice :D http://digital-photography-school.com/camera-basics-101-the-exposure-triangle/ Leanne
  11. The buggies first is driven by a Female Carla and is so fast and very loud this one was an old speedway car my youngest, I like this over edited look :) Hubby eldest both my boys, youngest closest to the camera who beat is older brother this day Leanne
  12. Both my boys race Sand Drags in the Open Motocross class, Hubby and eldest sometimes also race their quads. Both the boys are always in the top 3 often coming 1st and 2nd. Here are a few of my favourite photos from last season including the big boys on their V8 bikes (these bikes have car V8 motors in them and are huge) and a couple friends buggies :) not the best photo but this photo went national as this is very hard to flip a bike this size and even harder to bring it back down and still race Leanne
  13. Stunning photos Piper Can not pick a favourite as they are all so crisp and sharp. totally in awe :D Leanne
  14. Playing around with the manual settings today and final got a photo of exactly what I was trying to do And a photo of Chaos and Salem, I was trying to practice my action shots but they refused to move out of the sun :D Leanne
  15. Thanks guys :) There really is not much left on these guys But we are members of a few hot rod and restorer clubs and anyone looking for parts is more than welcome :D Leanne
  16. I know exactly how you feel T I have read heaps, watched heaps (youtube is great) and written down cheat notes that live in my camera bag. I go out and practice taking random stuff around the house and yard and some works but most don't and I have no idea what I am doing wrong and it is very frustrating I would love to do some courses but alas funds don't stretch that high. I also take a lot of action shots and normally leave my camera on sports. I have learnt so much in just a couple months and am hoping I can learn this too :) Leanne
  17. fantastic photos, love the crazed eyes they all have  Leanne
  18. Thanks Tdierikx. I forgot to add this one :) Leanne
  19. These are some of the wrecks lying around in the scrub at the block :) Leanne
