  1. Seeing that Huxley is a timid little man, how about going out very late, when everything is quiet and calling his name as you drive around, he may be within earshot and venture out when everything is quiet. Good luck, I hope you find him safe and sound.
  2. Congratulations on resisting the urge to smuggle her into your bed, I'm sure the whippies appreciated it though, they will now know that this little girl is not going to usurp their position in your heart. She is just the cutest little thing, so precious, she will not take long to have the boys wrapped around her tiny paws.... Look forward to more photos.
  3. I can't wait to see the whippys reaction to their new little sister !!! She is just ultra cute !!!
  4. The change in voice is something I have never noticed Linda, as you know Skye was just 15 when I lost her, and sadly I gave Jazz her wings 2 weeks ago,she was just a couple of weeks shy of 16. Believe me her voice was as good as ever, particularly if I was slow getting her dinner. So its been a sad couple of weeks here, Leah has been a blessing, it has all worked out extremely well. Hugs to dear Penny, it is sad to see them getting old isn't it ? We just don't have them for long enough.
  5. Or "Lacy"............. she is just too too cute !!!
  6. My thoughts are with you today, sending you strength and hugs.
  7. Ahhh, I am not surprised, she is just gorgeous, I love the name Fame ! But do tell what do the whippies think of her ?
  8. As you know Jules I have just been through this, and I have to agree with Pers, that this stage is the worst. I felt better after having spoken to Marie (Vet, from Let me go) and made that decision, but afterwards although I was, and still am, devastated there was a feeling of relief. No more pain for my girl, who was nearly 16, no more worrying if she had pain or if the pain relief was enough, I can actually take the others for a walk without worrying whether Jazzy was OK at home or not, it had got to the stage that I didn't want to leave her at all. I'm sure you will know when the time is right !
  9. You have been in my thoughts constantly, I do hope the cortisone helps make Joey more comfortable, and gives you more time with him. Juat curious as to how Renae and Miah are reacting to him ? Take care of yourselves too, sending comforting hugs.
  10. It looks as though the shed is tied on to the run by rope and occy straps, you would have to do some repairs I think.
  11. I have been thinking of you and wondering how you got on. I wish the news could have been better...sending hugs to you all !!
  12. Will be thinking of you today, I hope you get some good news !
  13. My son lives in the USA, and he and his wife have a new baby, she is now 3 months old, I don't know when I will get to see her because I can't leave my nearly 16 year old whippet Jazz, I couldn't bear to leave her, she worries when she can't see me, and is deaf too. I have a lovely lass who comes and stays in my house to babysit the dogs, but I couldn't bear the thought of not being here if something were to happen. Sadly and realistically I won't have much more time to wait. The Vet check may give you peace of mind to go, its just for 3 days, but only you can make that decision.
  14. Some time back there was a post about a lovely female Vet (Mary) ? who comes to your home for pts, sadly I am going to need her services soon, she sounded lovely and I have lost the details of how to contact her. Thanks
  15. He is a lovely and very clever man, he looked after one of my Burmese who went blind because of high blood pressure !!
  16. Which model Dremel are you guys using, I have the Dremel Pet Tool model 761, but only have the sanding discs, didn't know that there were stones available !
  17. I have just ordered 3, I just love them, thanks for posting the link !
