  1. This only goes to show that it is about time that Australian was governed by one set of rules only. We have an ANKC that set rules and then the state bodies go off and create their own and confusion rules.
  2. Plenty of puppies are sold around Australia by ethical breeders and they are sight unseen. Many puppies are often the progeny of interstate sires and in this day and age many are also the progeny of of overseas sires by frozen semen. This means that if you purchase directly from the breeder you will get to see the dam but no sire in sight. This may mean that you may have selected a breeder who really cares for the breed and has selected what they believe to be the best sire for this litter. On the other hand you may be lucky to be able to view both sire and dam.
  3. Their are scams all over Australia and the rest of the world for that matter. Before you purchase the best information I can give you is to contact your states controlling body or the body where the puppy was whelped in and ask if that breeders is a fully paid financial member that holds a current breeders prefix.
  4. Congratulations on gaining your title.
  5. I and many other have been trying to tell people about Oscars Laws for years about the anti breeding. If this law comes in we the ethical registered breeders will be included. Until a claws is included that exempts legally registered breeders we will not support Oscars law.
  6. Who knows :) all I do know is that they are all doing well on it. I suppose I'm like most people, what works I go for. Mind you I loved the VIP grain free but the dogs just refused to eat it and it was a new bag.
  7. Oakway, Royal Canin Junior IS puppy food. This is their feeding guide No, Royal Canin is a growth food so the rep said, that is why they can stay it all their lives. Royal Canin do produce a Puppy Food. :) Sorry forgot to say I would be amazed if I had an Iggy that weighed 11kg. Remember I have changed breeds. :)
  8. Would this have not been better in the breeders section ?.
  9. The vet I use does it all. I just turn up and then wait for the results. Then the bill.
  10. Start all mine on Royal Canin Junior and they stay on it for life. I never feed puppy food.
  11. You may have to try out quite a few types of leads till you find the one the pup shows best on. It might be best if you could go to a show where G/S are being shown and ask their advise.
  12. We don't usually purchase of people like that. Insurance is usually far to great an amount to be considered, well it was when I imported. Most of us would say NO money up front until the dog is cleared.
  13. Most of us search for this type of food as it is usually sold much cheaper and is a great saving to owners.
  14. thank you for your response. i totally agree with you. i am questioning a breeder currently re her representation of a pup which she described as 'top quality' but turns out he may have 'carpel flexural deformity' which would have been apparent before i received him. before going in all guns blazing, i just wanted a second opinion on how 'top qulaity' in interpreted by others. thanks again for your thoughts Flame suit on but i think you need to stop airing your issues on forums & simply talk with the breeder & sort it our privately . Asking what forums users interpret things as isn't going to help your cause nor give you any more ammo& to go in guns a blazing isn't going to help either . You need to get the facts from the vet & contact the breeder in a professional manner . You seem to be asking everyone for opinions well the only ones that matter is your vets & what they will put in writing, the way the dog arrived & the breeder.Keep it private it will not help your cause plastering it all over a forum Agree. Speak to the breeder with facts hopefully in writing from your vet.
  15. The first port of call after the vet was to speak to the breeder of this pup.
  16. Sorry to hear that. Such a shame when things like this happen.
  17. My apologies Krislin, I thought you were referring to the toes.
  18. Thank you for letting us know how she is. Hope she continues to improve. Looks like you caught her in time.
  19. Gerry King Redbank Plains also deals a lot with AI in Greyhounds plus so many other breeds.
  20. Look its hard to tell but it may just be a sprung toe. I had a whippet that used to do this on a regular basis I just used to pull toe back into place. Hope that's all it is.
  21. I believe it has come to the time that it should made unlawful to carry any dog not in secure bolted down crate on the back of any vehicle.
