  1. Nice shot of the cows bum. I hope the photographer had some one watching the pups on the back of the ute incase they chose to jump. Cute but look like a x bred to me. BB
  2. CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW Sorry I don't have figures for the sweeps yet. Numbers posted here shortly. BB
  3. Hi Capansh, Like the past two years YES there will be a breed breakdown in with exh numbers. Hope its not too cold this year. BB
  4. Congrats LizT on finding homes for your little ones. We haven't decided yet what to do with Billy, the breeder of his parents wants to see him in early August. BB
  5. Voted Yes. Sometimes sold some prizes to fund buying our dogs more food. Occasionally have given some things to charity/friends/family. There was a trend that chairs were prizes, kept a couple for spares then gave some to family. Gave some dry food to dog rescues. I know it takes alot of time & effort to select prizes so I think carefully about what to do with the prizes. BB
  6. So sorry to hear of your sad news Angelsun. Breeding can be soo hard sometimes. BB
  7. Bugger, I was looking forward to spending the night out in the cold showing my devils BB
  8. Everyones babies are growing up & looking cuter. Here is a pic of Billy & his mum on the couch. Then Billy just sitting on the floor after playtime. He is nearly 7 weeks old. BB
  9. Sorry to hijack your thread but we are in a simliar boat and I am after some information too. Dogs have destroyed grass, we tried to grow Couch (sp?) from seeds but a hot spell and absence from home & it died. Now looking into artificial lawn as we don't wnat to sow seeds every 6 months. We have quotes from 4 companies and ar similiar in price (two advertise on DOL banners). They all told us that dog urine passes through easily and is dog friendly, made in OZ and most can use ground rubber as infill instead of sand (fleas like sand) at same price. Now we are renting, landlord knows we have dogs. Do we mention to them that we are doing this? Or keep it a secret? Do we ask if he can chip in for the cost? OH is worried that IF we tell him then later he could claim it as a fixture to the property and he can keep it (even though he didn't pay for it). Companies have told us that we can remove the lawn if we need to move. Thanks BB

  11. http://www.petnetwork.com.au/cgi-bin/shopping.pl?page=product.htm&cart_id=379638 Shedding rake at the bottom of the page for my Schipps double coat. BB
  12. Thanks everyone, took him to the vet and said it was a flea dermatitis so he picked up a couple from somewhere. She reccommended Comfortis plus antibiotics. The scratching has subsided alot. No wandering dew around here. BB
  13. I know of One Schipperke in SA, one in QLD and two in Vic that gained their Supremes on the weekend. Looks like Canine councils will be busy making new pedigrees etc in the next couple of weeks. I feel for the person that does these only at the end of the month at VCA. BB
  14. I too would like to know what Schipperke has the most or most unusual or the first to get a particular title but I I doubt the VCA will be able to tell me. We think we have the First MALE Schipperke to gain ET. Have not heard from Interstates IF anyone has done this or even attempted it. BB
  15. The first Schipperke in OZ would be Gr Ch Beadale Little Captain, went from SA to Alice Springs (as they have done several years before) and got BOB then went onto Best In SHOW   Stunning boy & deserves it. BB
  16. If your into pant suits good luck in finding them as I can't. Seems everyone is selling/wearing skirts. I check that FB site daily too. BB
  17. No idea really, have you tried Ebay and ask sellers if they can be adjustable? petnetwork.com.au and ask if they can be adjusted? Good luck BB
  18. Thanks guys, I washed the bedding in the washing machine and bleech was used in the first cycle so was well washed out by the time the whole cycle was completed. They were scratching before I did this process. I have a tin of Malaban do you mean Tilly that I dilute it and spray it or throw buckets of it all over the ground & inside the kennels? I did tip a bucket of it over the dogs but then the warnings on the can got to me "about ingestion & poison" so I rinsed them off completly. I checked one site trixanpet for comfortis and had this mentioned " Side effects can include, but may not be limited to vomiting, depression/lethargy, anorexia, ataxia, diarrhoea, pruritis (itchy skin), trembling, hypersalivation and seizures. If vomiting occurs within 1 hour of administration, give another full dose. And Owners should seek veterinary advice regarding use in pregnant or lactating animals and for use in dogs with pre-existing epilepsy. Safety has not been established in breeding males." Never saw a warning about breeding males before, small chance my boy may eventually be used at stud so how will it effect him?? Has any one had the above side effects?? They only hvae boxes of 6 so not very cheap with four dogs to cover. Does anyone else have other reccomendations??? BB
  19. Hi All, We were using FRONTLINE but have now found a flea or two on the dogs so I want to switch Just wanting some opinion as to what FLEA treatment you like using and is cheap. We have 4 Adults under 10kgs. Have seen two fleas on a couple of them BUT 3 of them have chewed their rear ends red raw and are frequently scratching their rib area. Adults are 18month-4 yrs and haven't had this problem before. They have totally destroyed the grass out back so I am now looking into artificial Lawn, their bedding was washed in HOT water with bleech. Vet seems to think they are allergic to something but theres nothing out the back except dirt and two trees. I have another dog inside on maternal duties and she isnt scratching so its not diet related. Do fleas prefer dirt to grass to live in? Any help would be wonderful. BB
  20. Saffoire, no I do not show Belgian Shepherds just Schipps and we don't have any shows entered for awhile. Beth24, thanks for the link will check out the leads doesn't hurt to have many spares :D TollersOwned, no you don't have to dress up, I wore blue jeans (can't wear black with black dogs) and a colored jumper so you could see the dogs. was a cold night so warmth was a must. Its up to you what you want to wear. BB
  21. Saffoire, Yes me & my Schipps were there but alas didn't do as well since one boy is completly naked the other was still recovering from his ET on Saturday. Good luck at your next show. BB
  22. Next one is July 23. Not many grp one breeds I don't think, 2 Cavs, 1 Chinese crested, pug not sure if any others. BB
  23. Don't Forget the Non Sporting Dog club of Vic are running Neuter class at there show on July 29. Seem there aren't many grp 7 dogs neuted. BB
  24. Beth24, I didn't realise you were the person that I was helping. I sooo loved the color of those leads, do they have a website or just facebook? Your girl Zani was soo sweet. I had the many (ok 3 Schipps) parked next to you. We left around 11:15pm. They could of sold cups of coffee/tea to keep everyone warm. Saffoire, I saw you too with the two white Swiss Shepherds and a German Shepherd. Loved how the german Shepherd abanded the handler and went bolting in the ring to be with you or its playmate during practice time. Dekandant, I loved your frenchie doing the froggy was soo cute. There was 7 Schipps, 1 Shar Pei, 1 Dalamatian, about 4 or so Frenchies, approx 4 Samoyeds, 2 Leos, 1 Collie Rough, 2 Golden Retrievers, 1 Clumber Spanial, 1 pug, 1 hairless Chinese crested, 1 with hair, 2 Cavs, 1 Dachund (I think). Thats all from memory folks. BB
