Hoping the morning brings good news for China.

Oh Sandra, I know how special she is to you. Will be thinking of you and with any luck the morning will bring positive news. I hope you can sleep okay tonight. Dru.

That was great. SM, I think you spoke really well, you have a calmness about you that made me want to listen more. Well done! (gorgeous dog too btw)

Good post Trish. I'm sorry about Bart

6 weeks old!!! C'mon, really. Sounds like a bit of hype or a huge "Type O" to me. I have seen it, it does happen.

And have a good Handyman that can fix everything else that has been chewed.

Oh, poor Puggy

I know. The news flash on the radio implied it was running around terrorizing babies.

Found some more info http://www.smh.com.au/nsw/dangerous-dog-on-loose-in-sydney-20110902-1josa.html Dog 'only' hurt another dog, not a person.

Just heard on the radio that people in the Hills area, Sydney are being warned of a white Staffy X called Emma. It wasn't clear what for but she attacked someones Pug in their back yard and the details were sketchy saying she approached a person aggressively or something along those lines.

I have a swf who would do this and then hump away on his favourite cushion. On the odd occasion his penis would swell so much it would get stuck and the skin would tighten around it causing it to bruise and become very painful. He needed some olive oil and gentle persuasion to get him back to normal. The things we do

I have no clue Sandra but I have my fingers crossed for you!!

I agree. There's crating and then there's crating.

My neighbour is trying to send one of his Kelpie pups to the UK. His first quote was $3400 so I said I'd ask on here if anyone has done it before. I've recommended he try Dogtainers and Jet Pets but that's as far as my knowledge goes. He's a really lovely guy so I'd like to be able to help and would love some ideas. Cheers.

Who's in a state? Trinabean? I don't think she's in 'a state', she's just concerned about juggling her own large breed puppy, a visiting dog and her children. I would feel exactly the same way.

Exactly! Good luck :D

Do you understand what that expression means? Here I am, a bull breed owner, and I can step outside my little box and see what the general public sees because I do not wear rose coloured glasses. Get it? Look, it really makes no difference to me whatsoever and I couldn't give two hoots. You can't help those who won't help themselves by looking outside their own breed blindness. No, there probably hasn't - which is exactly why the breed fanciers need to only show pictures which cannot be misconstrued. If it were my breed they'd be head to toe in pink glitter and tutus out kissing old people in nursing homes. But gnashing jaws, spikes and hunting gear is just so much more appealing to the general public, apparently.

Brachycephalic Specialist Vet In Brisbane
Clyde replied to Burt Milton's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
I agree. I used to nurse for a vet who was an experienced brachy vet, the stories we would here when owners came to us for a second opinion No way would I trust my dogs with someone not experienced with them. -
Again, another bloody awful video which does the breed no favours. Chest leathers etc and was there a single collar that wasn't studded or a chain? When will people learn  I also found the dog fighting images upsetting, there are kids on this board - something to be mindful of.

Yes but it's television. Gen public love to see all sorts of animals on the show. My daughter goes mental when she knows a big cat is going to be on, so we always watch the show together. It might not be right but it has the right ingredients to attract a large, general audience. The episode about the Pitbull puppy pissed me off too but I just take TV shows with a grain of salt. Stormie, no thanks If it was a show based on Orbs facial expressions, maybe - but not cleaning cages and realistic stuff *yawn*.

I don't think he's all that bad. Sure he hams it up for the cameras but that keeps the general public swooning and watching each week - bringing more exposure to pets in general, veterinary care and the benefits of pets within a family/our society. He's not my cup of tea to look at but he's certainly kinder on the eye than another vet who might be fat, middle aged and balding. I don't think the collective DOL would ever be happy with or approve of any veterinary show on TV

Clyde replied to SUGEE76's topic in General Dog Discussion
I know people who use Berrima Kennels and are really happy with it. -
Agressive 10 Month Border Collie To My Chidren
Clyde replied to Tara_sydney's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
Absolutely! Good on you for doing something about it, hopefully it can be resolved. In the mean time could the dog go and live somewhere else. Kids aren't always reliable with doors and gates and I know how hard it is to always supervise just the one child, let alone two! -
The dog is a known dog killer, it should be euth'd not rehomed.
-
True. But will gen public ever be educated?
