  1. It must be dearer for NSWalers. I pay $85 then $10 delivery. Still worth $95 for 20kgs IMO.
  2. THat poor woman, and poor old Crystal
  3. Nothing too major for just the one dog. It makes things a little easier and will dry the coat faster - really not necessary unless you really *want* it. I've been grooming for about 13 or so yrs and for the first 3 years in business my only heat dryer was a hand held. You can buy groomers arms which will hold your hand held dryer for you which is handy too. Otherwise there are perfectly good, and well priced entry level dryers at Pet Network.
  4. I scrape the nail in soap or dab it in any sort of flour - both work well but the flour is probably less messy, as once dried, it just blows off.
  5. I really wouldnt bother outlaying $ on a dog dryer. If you're having your dog professionally groomed then a normal hand held dryer will do you fine *if* you even want to dry the dog! eta: I should mention that's only if you weren't keen on spending the $. When it comes to grooming the sky is the limit when it comes to tools and products, some people like to draw that line early on and pay someone else to do the job.
  6. It is not a bargain when they are taking money from people when they know they will not have to provide any service. I get what you mean HW. I mean it's horrendously stupid so therefore it is funny. I have to admit I had a little snigger when I read about it. But now thinking that some little old lady on a pension could have parted with her last dime to have precious Fluffy cared for when she's gone is really quite sad. I don't know how people can pocket the money TBH, it's funny at first but when you delve in to it it's really just a low level rort.
  7. A slicker and a good quality comb. The comb ensures you don't miss any areas as a lot of people tend to use the slicker incorrectly and just brush the top of the coat. The comb also brings the coat back together after it's been slickered. Your groomer will love you for it
  8. My Shih Tzu does it a lot. There is nothing wrong with her so hopefully it's the same for your gorgeous boy. I've noticed Gertie does it more and more as she gets older and it protrudes further each year. It is always when she's relaxed or has been sleeping. She looks very cute in the mornings!
  9. I have put 9 cats on it. They all took to it without any problems but 3 had sloppy poo which stuck to their bums (Persians) when I had finished making the switch over. It's fine if I mix it 50/50 with Royal Canin so I am sticking with that mixture. I might do the same as my boys have been a bit sloppy too. I thought it was the roo meat they were on but I havent fed them that in ages and the poos still aren't great. They also seem a bit stinkier than they were on the Eagle Pack. Im still happy with the food overall though!
  10. She seems like she needs bully experience who will deal with the resource guarding. Poor baby, I hope she bounces back quickly.
  11. Nehbet, this is not answering the question asked in the thread, saying that you would only recommend someone else implies you do not like the trainer in question. - DOL's need to be careful when commenting in an open forum on professional's online nor is this site for self-promotion. Please all DOL's think before you write. I actually thought Nekhbet was entirely professional. She didn't bag out any trainers, instead she recommended an alternative. This is exactly how I handle clients asking me for recommendations.
  12. Thanks PF, I didn't think it made sense!
  13. I find it strange that all of the above are qualities which consumers like about Black Hawk and you're saying they're all irrelevant. What is relevant in dog food then?
  14. Oh that sucks Teebs. I'm so sorry
  15. Yes!! I was told this a few days ago but it is near impossibly to source. Bunnings had just pulled it from their shelves, even the woman there couldn't believe they weren't stocking it anymore as she gave me the big rundown on all the poisons and Racumen came up trumps every time. I came home with one stoopid mouse trap as Im too scared to try anything else.
  16. I love Bichons, he is gorgeous and looks very much loved
  17. Bunnings have pre fab timber cubbies too. I think $299. Colourbond pitched roof , two windows and a door.
  18. You know I always think of your Kaos when it comes to naming pets - I think to myself 'they grow in to their name' - that's why I have old people names like Gertrude and Esme - and guess what, they are like old people too , so it works!

    Desexing

I think its got every possibility of convincing Joe Public not to desex at all. Or register entire dogs.. but that's nothing new. YOu're right, I didn't think of it that way - instead of people getting in quick to save it could absolutely put them off over the 6 mo mark.
  20. I love you. There you go Jazzy, good groomer found for your pooches!
  21. Janine & Anthony ?? I can't think of their shop name either! Yes!! (I think Cynthia got booted off the forums) Sorry Jazzy I know Janine and Anthony would do a great job but just cant remember their salon name.
  22. There is a really good groomer in your area. They breed Standard Poodles and are 'old style' groomers. ie - they're good!, lol. I cant think of their name though Gggggrrrrr. PM Arolf (Cynthia) as she will know. Janine and ?? her partner - Arrggggggghhhh, still can think of their name!
