Well done to Charlie

Oh and Boxagirl, I forgot to say earlier but your new little one is lovely! Hopefully you can bring her home soon with everyone healthy and happy!

I won't be there tonight since I never am! Aim is to get to ACWA tomorrow if it isn't raining though

I'm not really sure RV, although I do know there were no other OES.

My mum said there were two English Setters showing though

Ah ok. How exciting to see different breeds :D

Who else is coming to training besides me and ST?

Yes I will be :) Haven't trained in ages it seems. Plus excuse for Zora cuddles ;)

Congrats to Charlie and your sis, ST!

I am bringing some biccies tonight too! Sort of a catch up for all the celebrations I missed and to buy you back into my favour because I think Zora might be a screamer. :o

Oh I just want to add a shameless brag for those who didn't see it on FB...

My sister went to her first show in Jersey, with Charlie, her OES that i used to handle here in Australia.

She was really nervous, but I knew she'd do just fine, and Charlie loves it so much that he pretty much did everything right.

So... Charlie AKA BISS Aust Ch Bobbysox Trail Blazer won Runner up in the Pastoral Group (Group 5 - working dogs to you and me), and Best Open in the Pastoral Group. I'm not exactly sure how the shows run over there - I'm waiting for my sister to explain it... but she did win several ribbons and a trophy, so I am beyond proud of her!!!

Wooohoooo! Roll on Crufts, eh? ;)

I think I should take the lease over, I could make a killing! As long as they keep charging 3 bucks for a cup of INSTANT coffee, and people willingly buy it, I can see me retiring to my dog property sooner rather than later :D

That is a bit of a bummer!! Why no catering

The canteen finishes this weekend unless someone new has taken it over.

Generally for small breed shows the canteen doesn't open unless profitable or has the permission of each club.

There is only the

Spitz club

Gundog club

Bull Terrier club

Sheltie club open show

Obedience trial which has in the schedule BYO.

The gundog committee has done some extensive fundraising this year with one more big raffle to come plus we already have next years bunnings day booked on a bumper weekend we decided that we all deserved the chance to show our dogs & do committee things for this show as the BBQ is reliant on committee to run it

The club phoned a number of other clubs but no one wanted to do anything so hence BYO or take away.

The entry for the Gundog club is a brilliant one so hoping for a great weather & a fund day

While it's a shame that there is no catering, I agree that I think that the GDC deserve a break from doing their fundraiser BBQ... I did several during my time on the committee and it's a hard job manning it all day plus showing...

showdog, is there a provision for the show to be outside this year, if it's fine, or is it inside only? I'm :crossfingers: for a lovely fine day!!
