Oh no ;) Hope Scoota is on the mend soon.

I am still thinking of doing Adelaide. Although Melb has Kelpies the day before Lappies

Me too :D

Bondi was just a little bit spoilt today, she got a new bed, kennel, and coat- and a trip to the dog park with her Amstaff puppy friend

As I posted on FB - receptionists can either make or break a vet practice and I will not be returning to my usual practice ever again. I also feel that having to wait 24 hours for blood test results in this day and age is at least 12 hours too long - hmmmm.

Well bloods have come back showing very little improvement and they now show some kidney involvement. Feeling let down by the usual practice I emailed Bean's specialist and received a reply within minutes arranging an appointment for scoota to see a specialist I have previous had one of my kids to, and who I think a lot of. We have an appointment on Monday. I have also received an email from his accupuncture vet who will write us a referral and will meet us on Monday for the appointment.

There are some very special vets in this world - for which I am very lucky to have dealings with 3 of them - thanks guys you are all one in a million :D

and to my former practice - I don't appreciate the treatment I received today from either the receptionist or the head vet, and like I said earlier I will not be going back.

That is not good about the practice, i know how u feel, when mason was bad and i was not getting answers i was so frustrated abd felt like not enough was being done to help him. Ended up changing vets and i am now very happy, plus mason and Beans' specialist is the best ;) so smart and knowledgable.

Ptolomy I am glad that things are starting to move forward now... no thanks to your other practice... had you been going there for long?

I hope you can get some answers on Monday... *hug*

Ari saw and took chase of a Fox yesterday - she got about 20 m away from us and realised that she wasn't quite as fast as she thought, turned around and waddled back to us. Still I was very happy she came back when we called her. She still likes running up and down the sand dunes, but she only goes about 2 m up before turning around to run down now!

Poor Scoota :o I hope you make some progress with him now ;) We're going through a diagnostic phase with Indy our siamese at the moment (Allergic asthma and raised liver enzymes) and she has an ultrasound on monday as the next step. I have to say our vets have been so thorough and caring :(

Awww look at Bondi all snuggled in her bed :) and :D at her face in the second pic, not the most flattering :cheer:

:) Does she not realise she should be sitting down with her feet up and a nice cup of tea :D

Indy is on ABs, she has an upper respiratory infection now, but is doing fine in herself........I think she's just protesting at the colder weather

Talking of feeling the colder weather........

The dogs are rugged up now

We went exploring again today, after a lovely trip to see a friend in Collie last week  We headed up to Mundaring with the dogs, hoping to walk around there, but quickly discovered that dogs are not really welcome after speaking to a lady in the visitors centre  She was very helpful though and pointed us to areas we could walk with them. We ended up in Chidlow and had a very pleasant walk along the Heritage Track there - it was deserted so Daisy was able to go off-lead for most of it and the temperature was just perfect

Hugs, Emery. Hope everything works out okay.

I had something similar happen with one of mine very recently - thought it was a lipoma, until it suddenly grew to the size of a 50c piece in 2 days. Off to the vets and it turned out to be sarcoma  Two major surgeries later, and I have a healthy doggy back, but the surgery to remove all the margins was a shocker. The incision was the length of my hand-span!

Oh good golly. Glad yours is better and they were able to get it out. That is what is worrying me the most the position not exactly much slack on an eyelid :s
