It made me cry, especially knowing it was about a long time Doler. Brought back a lot of sad memories, I'm feeling for her so such tonight, knowing how I feel & she must be feeling a hell of a lot worse.

Lots of hugs & kisses Jane. :kissbetter::grouphug:

I'm with you Mantis. I just read about it here on DOL and watching the story has me me in tears. Such a brave woman to put the welfare of her dogs way beyond her own. My thoughts go to Jane and her dogs, particularly the ones that were lost.

Sorry if I sounded rude, I can't watch commercial TV so just got a bit extra questiony

Not rude at all, I just don't read questions properly.

Sounds like it's just a repeat.

But is the episode a repeat or is the episode current and they are using old footage?

I thought it was a new episode, using old stories. I'm not sure, but I think this happened about 4 or 5 years ago.

Yes, a brave lady. And a damn good registered breeder.... as were her breeder friends who provided foster-care.

One thing stood out a mile.

When the situation was originally on the TV News here in Q'ld... & the dreadful fire had just happened... they showed the RSPCA taking her dogs away, temporarily. Those dogs had just been thro' hellish stress. But the Cavs in the arms of the officers & then in the van, were so trusting & friendly to the strangers who were helping them.

If ever there was a test of beautifully socialised dogs, that was it. An RSPCA officer remarked that these dogs came from a respected breeder. They got that right.

And on tonight's program, it was evident again. A TV crew went with Jane to be reunited with her dogs. After an enthusiastic meeting.... who did those dogs greet with interest & friendliness? The camera crew who would've been strangers to them.... & carrying strange looking equipment.

Where can i watch it online?

There are no episodes availble on yahoo 7 right now. I'm really upset I missed it, I knew the show had done a story on it but even if tonight was a repeat I've never seen it before.

I wateched it and had tears in my eyes too. The whole thing is still so fresh in my mind. :(

I was spitting chips with the kitten stories though. Normally anything under 600g is immediately PTS. But of course they couldn't do that on TV (although the vet seemed keen to knock off that litter at the end).

I would love a link as well.

What channel was it on?

It happens with border security too - they have what seems to be a new episode but to pad it out they include older stories amongst the new stuff. I remember the dogs & fire but I don't remember the cats and the cow.

I related the real life story to my kids as we watched tonight. Jed you were just so strong. A lot of Dolers followed you and your plight daily and we are all so glad you came through it.

I don't recall seeing an episode that included a reunion of Jed and her furkids before this one. I too had tears, ones that hadn't quite been shed through the weeks of waiting and hoping.

RIP Magnus, I know you & Kenny are having fun with all the other much loved dogs. :rainbowbridge:
