He is a special little man in a good way though :) I'm happy for her to try and he's under one of my contracts which is lifetime behavioral/training help, and in any time during his life he cannot be cared for any more he comes straight back to me anyway.

Well what a load of codswallop...

There's nothing wrong with the dog at all. I've taken him out, he's loving life, loves people, children, other dogs etc. Happy as a pig in the proverbial. Quiet as a mouse at home I have even lent him out during a dog school class and he was a champ doing agility and some basic obedience. Fantastic under distraction.

I'm not bothering with petrescue again I don't have the time. I'm going to just find someone locally and people have the feelers out unless someone here on DOL wants to try him on home trial.

Errrrrrr people suck sometimes...

Sorry I'm just disappointed cause I trust your judgement. You've assessed poor Rock.

He's going well in many different areas. Even settles well hanging out at home.

I'm very grateful you don't just 'give up':(

When I do assessments I do as little as possible to 'sway' the animal. I barely interact with him since he's come back, leave the door open for him to come and go as he pleases (including while I'm in bed) and nothing is 'happening' to make me think he's acting like damaged goods. I have 2 bitches on heat too at the moment as well (yay me) and he's still getting along fine.

so friend of a friend of a friend it is then

No kirty, you did the right thing by calling in the top dog. Absolutely no fail in recognizing when you're out of your depth. You're right Nekhbet, sometimes the human race sucks, seldom the dog.

Well friend of a friend ... he's now moved in with a lovely young couple, their BC bitch and has a farm to access as the parent's place ;) he's already chased a duck and gone swimming in the dam.

They adore him, their own BC is a very working type so he's chilled out comparably lol let's see if he's gonna stick this time :D one of my clients took him for a week for me to socialise he's a great little dog.

Oh all paws crossed for this second chance.

Placement sounds amazing. BC paradise & Rocky even has a new bestie. I'm very happy for him. I hope he thrives in his new home.

Thanks again Nekhbet for your dedication ☺
