I'm really sorry to hear about Justice, Snook. I hope he gets better quickly. Lola had a couple of MCTs removed a while ago, but they keep popping up and I won't keep putting her through surgery so now we leave them. The aging process sucks.

Catch up for me.

Week 14: Raven, my foster kitten. You know you want her :D Most of my photos have been of the kittens lately. The poor dogs must feel shafted. 26493444735_491e589d6b_z.jpg

After a while, Marvellous came to the conclusion that try as she might, she just didn't quite fit in. Where goats bleated, she squeeked. She waved farewell to the goats and continued on her way.

As Marvellous walked, she missed her beautiful friends the roses, her bleaty friends the goats, and wondered what she would encounter next.

"It really is quite lonely", she thought, "trying to work out what you are."

Getting ahead as the next few weeks are mental for me :o

17/52

One day, Marvellous came across another strange creature. It was neither a rose nor a goat.

"What are you?" she asked.

"I'm a girl child" the creature replied.

"Am I a girl child?" asked Marvellous.

"Yes... I think so" answered the girl child.

After a while, Marvellous came to the conclusion that try as she might, she just didn't quite fit in. Where girl child could count to at least twenty, in two different laguages, Marvellous couldn't count at all. She waved goodbye to her intelligent friend and continued on her way.

I feel somewhat guilty, seeing as I started the challenge, in confessing I am way behind and do not feel able to continue..... at least for the time being. I seem to be lurching from crisis to crisis at the moment and have no time to even pick up the camera :(

I do pop in from time to time to admire everyone's pics and hope that you will all make it to the end.

Snook, I hope Justice is going well with his recovery and will be back to his old self in next to no time

Playing catch up here. All phone snaps. I've had a weird few weeks:

17 - my first paying (dog walk) clients.

I've joined the local community fruit harvest page on facebook. Not entirely sure what they do but today I picked apples for the first time in my life (something I've always wanted to do). I ate one straight off the tree. It was amazing.

Love your clients. And your backyard (it does lack a small neat chook-pen) - clothesline photos work well, always evocative. Terrific area you are living in by the look of it. Oh look, gum trees!!

Having spent my first 11 years in the Snowy Mtns it feels homey to me. Plus the gums and maggies + plovers. I'm very much at home. Chickens would be lovely but I don't think we're allowed + I'm still adjusting to life with no pet sitters and a few other things :)

It must be awesome to have dogs for clients. The fruit harvest group sounds amazing!

They were pretty good. Nice mum too. :) She slipped me a bonus at the end of the month which was appreciated.

Fruit group appears great.

I've fallen a bit behind too, mostly because I've started shooting a bit of film and it does require a bit of waiting

ETA OMG, flickr has chewed up that last one. It's 1200 on the longest side, maybe I should upload them bigger?

We live with the world's worst internet, uploading them bigger is gong to be a pain. Boooooo, flickr! It's done something weird to the colour too. I don't sharpen anything from the 35mm because it's so sharp. Sometimes too sharp.
