When my old dog Moss died my remaining dog pretty much lay on her bed and looked like she was willing herself to die. I went into a fairly frantic search for a new pup. Pup arrived and Fern picked up a bit and finally recovered. Hugs to you and Billy.

Problem is I don't think it will stop the 'lets have a go' people from entering. They will just fail worse and I am going to be further away from rescuing my dog if their unstable dog goes and jumps on her!

Yeah I reckon the stay thing is a bit weird. I can't say I've noticed people passing CCD heaps easily so not sure why they would make it harder??

Phew thanks for that K9katz, I had a heart attack as so far Artemis is the only kibble that my young border is wanting to eat.

I feel your pain. I have a fussy pup at the moment and yes she would rather starve herself then eat. She also only eats small portions, which would be fine if her weight was ok. First dog I've had that will walk away from her bowl when she has had enough. Reckon the others would just keep eating and eating! The latest thing that got refused was Barf patties! Not sure I blame her on those as I wasn't keen on the smell. She doesn't like kibble, veggies, offal, barf patties. She does like mince, chicken necks/wings/frames & lamb flaps. ETA: she even said no to sardines on kibble!

I really don't think FB is the place to be talking to your friends about it. Some things should be said in private.

When my family moved from the UK the dog came with us. I personally think that young people need to think more carefully about taking on the responsibility of a pet so they don't get into this sort of dilemma when a cool job came up. I would not take a job overseas if it involved leaving my dogs.

People say crap about all breeds of dogs so don't take it personally. I get heaps of crap about having border collies. I teach that age pups. The pups are trained on flat collars and there is no yanking. At the end of the 8 weeks most are loose lead walking. If this training school doesn't train using methods that you agree with then you really need to find a new school or you will just be snakey each week and if you are feeling snakey you are not going to get any good work. You need to believe in the instructors and in the methods.

If you want to do it with a pup that you haven't got yet then it might be an idea to chat to Steve or Erny about what to look out for in a potential pup. I keep getting dogs with very low to zero toy prey drive,it is all about the sheep, lol Or I break them which is some people's opinion.

Actually Collies02 I have constantly said that I don't have a problem with the food itself or with you as a supplier. This food is not packed just for you however. It is sold in various places by Hungry Hound. Maybe you don't know that. Who knows.

Personally if I thought my dog was going to chomp another dog and was capable of doing damage then I would muzzle my dog for its own safety. Yes I know it isn't even slightly fair.

I think it is quite reasonable that people want to know were a dog food is coming from if it is in a plain white bag. There are too many inconsistencies of story with this food for me to continue to use it.
