  1. OMG is that Roger??? Gosh he has grown up, as they do of course!
  2. White vinegar appears to have worked!
  3. OMG vinegar is about the only thing I have here. Will go pour some over my hand. I nearly got some Calendula tea the other day but didn't, damn! Look in your heath food shop CrazyCresties. It has been a 'shit' of a day literally! My toilet is blocked too and I spent a couple of hours trying to fix it before I gave up and called a plumber, who couldn't fix it either today!
  4. My &^% pup has rolled in some disgusting stinky poo, god knows from what animal. I patted her and now the smell is one my hand and I can't get it off!!! Anyone have any remedies? vinegar? euc oil?
  5. My border collies go for the occasional hoon around the garden but most of the time they are on their beds asleep. They tend to play on the veranda more too. I think the bigger challenge with a smaller garden is the impact on the garden itself. If you don't care what it looks like then that isn't an issue.
  6. Probably the amount of dogs Gayle. I go through enough kibble with 3 dogs. I would love to feed UA. Might try it again. ETA: I don't feed super premium because I think I have to but because I can. It really is a luxury. The dogs would probably love some Pal!
  7. The poor boy. I've just been using Neocort for an allergy and it must sting a bit as it first goes on as pup has been yelping a bit. Within seconds you can see the relief though. They didn't use a hot water bottle on the area did they? There was a dog on here a few years back that got a very nasty burn from a hot water bottle after a simple op.
  8. I have IBS and have no troubles eating Maccas It is the good foods - grains, veggies etc that cause strife. The Pal might be easier for Mindy to digest.
  9. You need to watch out for false economy with some cheaper brands though Everythings Shiny. As in you have to feed more cups and a smaller bag from a supermarket can cost very similar to a big bag of premium per 100g. Coles have an 'own' brand that I believe is actually Coprice. Think the Woolies one is also something similar. Personally I would rather feed those then Pedigree Pal which contains colours & preservatives.
  10. Your signals are lovely and neat! You're an "over arm" dumbell thrower, I don't see many of those! I'm a real crap throw myself, but got a dumbell throwing tip on Monday night from a fellow Lab owner and it really did improve my throws! I'm still more than capable of throwing some awful ones, but managed to throw quite a few straight ones in a row :D It's all in the flick of the wrist :D I'm an "under arm" thrower for the dumbell. I might have to get a few practice sessions in before this weekend P.S. If you're not in the ring when I am this weekend, hopefully you can check out my newly amended signals in DOR and distance control and see if they're any better than the last trial :D And if not, give me a stern picking on :p I am the most special thrower! I have actually managed to hit myself on the head whilst throwing the dumbell! Now that was embarrassing!
  11. The bigger box that petproductsontheweb have looks good value.
  12. Watch that dog food analysis site. Some of our products have different ingredients so isn't accurate for us. I noticed it with an Advance product. Anything made here might be different. I've been feeding Nutro on and off. Haven't noticed anything bad about it. Haven't been happy with EP and Amber doesn't like Pro Plan so will be giving it a better run at the moment. I am not keen on the smell of it and was a bit anxious about it as the company has had a bit of trouble with recalls overseas. Nothing seems to be going wrong with the Aussie product though.
  13. Goodness I thought it was nasty and then I read that Miss T is your daughter. Much nastier! I am glad you are both OK. ETA: for clarity.
  14. Maybe she feels like she can't see you properly with the dumbell in her mouth? Poppy will sit crooked if the sun is behind me. She comes in straight and then kicks her bum out crooked as she sits. She also sits too far away when she has the dumbell.
  15. I'm having the same issue with a border collie pup. It is driving me nuts. She is also eating her kibble one piece at a time and is ribby. Luckily she has a lot of coat so you can't see the bones! She chomps bones ok. She will also only eat a fairly small amount in one sitting. Pretty much only wants raw stuff. Which is funny as her breeder just changed from total raw feeding to feeding some kibble with the pups! I was feeding EP too and have just changed to Nutro. That is being eaten with a bit more gusto.
  16. Black Hawk is Australian made, good ingredients and is well priced. Not as cheap as UA. I was paying $69 for a 20kg(I think) bag. Here is the contact - http://www.kylainknls.com/food.htm That is probably the cheapest of the premium foods.
  17. Damn you all! It is a 'dry' night and now I want wine!
  18. I've had 1 tick on a dog in 10+ years and it was a harmless type tick. That is just down the road in Wandin.
  19. Both my border girls prefer to go one way when herding. It is fairly common I think. Good job koalathebear
  20. I would like to see them recognized as a breed. Whether we like it or not there is a demand for them, in a couple of sizes. If people are going to buy them then I would prefer that they got them from good breeders not from petshops, BYB or puppy farms. It is petshops, BYB & puppy farms that are the 'enemy' IMO. A friend has a second gen one. She is a smart little dog, who could easily have done a couple of dog sports. I tried to get friend to buy a purebred but failed btw I get a couple in each class I do too. They are mainly super hypo but seem to have good natures. They aren't going to go away. That is a losing battle.
  21. Is it possible that these are not Kristina's pups?
  22. You wicked thing you It now becomes clear why Spottychick got such a big crate......
  23. Well done for all your passes guys Sas that stand for exam pic is hilarious! If I had been the judge I would have been giggling too much to do it, your dog is HUGE! I had possibly the worst training session ever! The new pup will not walk in mud! A grumpier pup you have never seen, She will drop in it but not walk. So embarrassing as she is a border collie! The stand is coming along though. Luckily the class I teach did really well so that made me feel like not quite so much a loser!
