All my soft crates have doors in the long side too :) Amber jumps into her crate (in Xtrail).

When You Stay In Dog Friendly Accommodation
JulesP replied to sheena's topic in General Dog Discussion
Pretty + dogs is what I've struggled to find Sheena. I wouldn't stay at some of the really dog friendly places as they don't have the things that I need for me. I like spas, nice furniture etc :) I do like an enclosed garden off of the the cottage/house so I can just tip them out for wees. A really secure run would also be good if I wanted to go out without them. -

One of the places I stay at has $10k couches! I didn't even want to sit on them  -
When You Stay In Dog Friendly Accommodation

My dogs are allowed on my furniture so no they wouldn't be on furniture at an accommodation place. To me dog friendly means dogs are allowed and the fencing is safe for them. I am a bit that people would be letting them on someone else's furniture. -
More likely that the dog attacked the man to get the cooking lamb.

I had my first border collie under those circumstances and he wasn't a happy chappy. Lots of destruction of the garden despite walks and training. He had a cat friend too. I got a second border collie and all such activity stopped. I've always had 2 since. They all prefer to be with me but do like each other for company, they are usually hanging out together.

The price isn't that great. I had a quick look and Pets Providore have them cheaper at $45.

Mine are in a 50cm and a 55cm.

I assume mine did prevent a robbery at my last house as I came home to the front gate open, the porch door open and finger prints on the window frame. Could also have been religious folks  Whoever it was left in a big hurry. The borders were sitting innocently at the gate line when I got home!

My current border collies take their guarding duties fairly seriously. They have made big men run Poppy will stand and glare at tradies. Amber is currently glaring at me because she wants to go out  Not a breed to be buying for guarding purposes though.

Investigate the breeds particular method of play too. Even a small breed may like rough play. A breed that likes wrestling and body slamming for instance would not be good.

I'd just bought the 2.2 kg bag so we'll be feeding AA for while yet. I've fed VAN complete mix before with the skin formula and omega blend - he was on that before switching to AA. I haven't tried to just add VAN skin support and omega blend to a grain free diet. I've still got the 2.2kg bag of AA so I'll continue with plan A and feed that through for a full six weeks and then do the allergy & thyroid tests. We are only two weeks in to trialling the AA so anything could still happen with Vulcan. I am however dissapointed to find the owner of the product is publically spouting (what I beleive to be) nonsense and after loosing someone to cancer recently it has really hit a nerve. Did someone tell you to go and this diet and then do the testing? Usually you do testing whilst eating your normal foods. Ie you have to be eating gluten when you get tested for gluten intolerance. Or do you mean you are going to add foods back in after the 6 weeks?

Did the patties cause you not to be such a big fan of BARF? Or is it that you feed the patties now instead of making up a BARF mix? I made up the Billinghurst BARF mix for many years. After I lost my Rottweiler to cancer I started feeding Big Dog BARF patties to my two Cavaliers. They've been fed raw all their lives. They're 9 and 10y and they have no health problems, though my 9yo can only eat low fat foods as she's prone to Pancreatits attacks. I take them to the vet every 12-18 months for a health check. Yeah the patties made me not be such a fan of BARF. I don't think they align with the theories in the book. I'm not saying there is anything particularly wrong with the patties as food but I don't think they align with the original BARF principles. And I liked the original principles.

There is no camping at the ground :)

Just interested in what time people like comps to start. This is assuming there is no extreme weather forecast, so you aren't trying to get a comp in before super hot weather. I'm not a fan of early starts personally.

It is quite tricky to work out. I think both companies just have their food made at APFE. I am not sure how NG started, 20 years ago it was just the tinned dog food. I know BH started when the owner found a export food at APFE and decided to rebrand it as BH. At a guess both BH & NG are using the same export cat food. Looks like a similar thing is happening with Sunday Pet. It appears to be a food made in NZ for the Hong Kong market that they are now selling here.

Maybe maintain the raw part of the diet (if I understand it correctly) and ditch the supplement for a few weeks. With some oil added :)

BH & NG dry cat food were identical. That is why I suggested it. A pet shop even showed me a order form for BH cat food were the food was called NG. Not sure how that works as they are made by 2 different manufacturers. Why are you assuming they are made by different manufacturers? http://www.apfe.com.au/petfoodhome.html

Personally I think the improvement shown in dogs is because they are moving from a commercial diet to more of a BARF diet. I was a big fan of BARF before the patties came along. If you haven't read the 'Give Your Dog a Bone' book by Billinghurst I do suggest doing so.

The dry food? Try Black Hawk.

Weirdly the payroll person questioned me taking a day off to go to my ex MIL funeral more than time taken off because of a pet death!

I like Natures Gift in general too. I've been using the tinned food for over 20 years. They are good too if you call with questions.

Cheap? It is more per kilo than most super premiums!

As long as your dog's don't have a problem with wheat you should be fine. I've never had a negative problem when I've fed it and all my dogs have loved it.
