I don't have a loo one but do have an attempted sleep in one that I took yesterday. Amber is standing on a lounge chair so she can glare at me whilst I am in bed as she wants her morning walk!

I would be sneaking them in once it gets dark.

I did find the wandering jew caused more issues when it was flowering. You can try putting dishwashing liquid in the RoundUp, that is supposed to help it stick on the leaves better. I found using a rake the best method for removal. Washing the effected parts of the dog worked best for me. Anti histamines didn't seem to do a lot. I used a horse/dog itch wash.

To make you feel easier about the dog being on antibiotics for a long time, my dog has been on them for about 3 years now with no negative side effects.

My dogs love their crates. I have a open crate in their bedroom and there is always a dog snoozing in there. I use a crate at dog school as I am working 2 dogs. Both dogs are happy to relax in the crate then. I also use a crate in the car for one of them. Mainly because the other dog has personal space issues and this gives them their privacy, lol. I take crates with me when I go away and it seems to make the dogs feel secure in a strange space. The dogs choose to go in the crates. Here there are last time we went away.

It is pretty hard to block out mice and rats. They can squish through tiny spaces. The pest guy I used just put bait down.

I prefer a side opening tail gate. Better on my shoulder.

A lot of doggie people have Xtrails :) Bit suspicious that the new model is going to have less boot space though.

Remind Me, What To Do If An Aggressive Dog Rushes Me
JulesP replied to Kirislin's topic in General Dog Discussion
Mine was a GSD. Had 3 nasty incidents with the breed now. Freaked out on Monday when I was out walking and a large black was loose in a on lead area. Got closer and the owner was chatting on the phone, freaked out a bit more until I saw the dog laying in a drop stay. He wagged his tail (the dog) at me as I walked past and didn't look like moving. Impressive. The owner had his back to the dog too. -
Remind Me, What To Do If An Aggressive Dog Rushes Me

A fear aggressive dog that is actually willing to attack is quite likely to warn, warn, warn while you're facing it then lunge when you turn your back. I wouldn't risk turning my back personally. I'd rather be bitten on my arse than on any part of the front of me... T. I was just thinking that  Been there, done that   -
Neighbours Large Dog Can Get Into My Yard If It Wants

I am not sure it is the owner or RE agents problem in this case though. Things like toilets have to work but not sure if they have to supply pet proof fencing? -
Neighbours Large Dog Can Get Into My Yard If It Wants

My border collies would be in your yard within seconds! Speak to the new neighbors straight away and don't let your dogs out unsupervised. -
Yeah me too.

perhaps being very protective at home .... and working herself into a tizz (technical talk) But then again I guess some people would describe my dogs as 'going off' when men come to my house. Don't know if they would do it with females as it is normally male tradies that are the strangers.
-
This is rather unusual behavior. Did the puppy come from parents that had the correct health checks?
-
There were 2 different attacks. Actually 3 as some robbers set their dog on to a shop owner.
-
I think the dog pictured is the victims dog.

My pest guy promised me that the dogs would need to eat about 20 rats to get sick from his bait. Obviously my dogs are lots bigger than yours. I am super paranoid too after losing Brock to unexplained poisoning.

No the panels aren't tall enough for a 30kg dog. They are mainly good for puppies. I would be saying the kids can't go outside. Do you have a local park? Perhaps you could take the kids there for a couple of hours if they get restless.

Those photos are adorable. Glad Zeus is happy in his new home.

How Far Does A Breeders Responsibility Extend?
JulesP replied to Edge's topic in General Dog Discussion
Jules it always amazes me how similar our experiences are with our dogs! Down to the lack of care factor from the breeder and everything. My dog has the same condition Jules dog has. And no, I didn't expect any financial contributions either as it is quite rare and not something you can really test for (as far as I know anyway). It does seem to be a hereditary problem in your breed? Googling shows lots of cases. Interesting to this thread I found a breeder guarantee (US Frenchie breeder) for liver shunts. They say they will give a replacement puppy or money up to the price of the puppy if the condition is diagnosed under 12 months. -
Good job Gus! Too funny!

For the cats I used to poach the chicken in the microwave, was really quick. Did the rice in the microwave too but not sure in the value in that as it takes a while.

How Far Does A Breeders Responsibility Extend?
JulesP replied to Edge's topic in General Dog Discussion
Congenital or hereditary? There is a big difference. And I do think it would have been better if the breeder had been communicative. As to the OP - impossible to give an opinion. I know it is congenital which is why I wrote congenital. In some breeds it would be considered hereditary. It is unclear whether that is the case in my breed. Affected dogs should not be bred from though and the parents should not be bred again. Fairly sure the breeder did repeat the mating.
