If he doesnt catch on that he is not getting cuddles in the morning, s quick squirt of water will do the trick. Hunta can go through stages of whiniing at night. Doesnt need a toilet break, doesnt need a drink is generally thinking she needs ont eh bed and she is not allowed on their unless we are awake and it is not regularly. Maybe once a month or so. So instead of me being disturbed for hours, a quick squirt and she is quiet. (i only resort to this when i have made sure she does not need a loo break and is physically ok)

I would check, if i was planning to show the pup. If not showing then i prob would not bother checking, i would just ring and ask them about it regularly until it came through

LuvmyGSD, sad story but i will say that instead of a rotty, put another breed in that dogs place treated the same way and the outcome would have been the same I feel sorry for the poor dogs - BOTH of them

i agree. I thought the meat being fed separately to raw was for red meat due to the balances of the vitaminsa nd minerals

the biggest mistake as such you can make is to coddle the pup when it shows fear - this reinforces its reaction. Please seek professional help

Speak to *Bella* if you think it is that Asher her gsd boy had cryptococcus last year The vets had to grow the fungus in a petri dish which took a few weeks. Some breeds are more susceptable to fungal infections, gsds are one of them. I would suggest that if it was cryptococcus he would be a lot worse - Asher went down hill very quickly - within a few days he was deathly ill. So my guess would be that it is something else.

Enmark, hope Davey responds quickly and gets better soon

When i see him doing something wrong, i yell out NO, then i go out to him and grab Daire, scruff him i suppose you would call it, then hold him by his muzzle and growl at him, i hold him till he squirms as it means he cares about being told off (this is what i have been told) He has stopped doing 2 of the things he was with this method. Daire is not head shy and has never been so i have no problem using this method.

i was having a couple of issues with Daire - nothing really bad but more annoying. I am lucky that i have a couple of friends who are trained dog trainers. I let one of them correct him when we were out and then when i got home continued with the corrections as htey had done Daire responded VERY well to the corrections, so now i just keep doing it and have taught my hubby to do it too and the issues we had are going away

raw chicken is fine as long as it has been stored properly you cannot feed cooked chicken bones or any other =bone for that matter as they can splinter.

I think it was allergies from memory why CHarli changed. Have you thought of adding meat or upping the quantity? Even feeding her twice a day may help

Sticks out of the names i sent you via PM, i would go Kate Haines first. She helped Daire so much. He was a different dog when he walked out of her surgery the first time She is a vet as well as a chiro so she will be able to help with both vet and chiro She gets 2 thumbs up from me and Daire
