RS, Sarge gets hot spots regularly. He had two recently when he saw Deb and she said to clean with peroxide and follow up with dabbing of tea tree oil or betadine. Don't put creams on them because they keep it gooey when it needs to dry out. Be overly cautious with dogs licking them. Even if you don't think the dog will, better to put a bucket collar on (which I see you have done ). I accidentally let Sarge have his bucket collar off a bit earlier than I should and he nibbled the recently-scabbed hotspot and it was just awful. Took ages to heal after that. I have used haemorrhoid cream and also cortisone cream in the past but in my experience they heal a lot faster when you don't use creams. I hope Ruby is feeling better soon!

All ignored except Sarge who looked alert and let out a few soft grumbles, then didn't care about it.

Hi Well, if you are ever talking to Italians and you get them repeat the word 'Maremma' you will quite clearly hear the correct pronunciation. Regards I've always been under the impression that it is pronounced "Mar-ee-mah" but changed my tune after I was told off by a 10yr old girl who owns one :laugh: Good to know I can go back to my original pronunciation.

It probably wouldn't work if the dog was scared but we've trained the dogs that if they get out of the side gate (which is padlocked) then the front door is the best place to run to because there will be a treat explosion. Hopefully if they ever do get out of the gate they will hang around the front door.

Good job ish! Those cloud collars are great, Sarge is wearing it at the moment and is totally at ease. Seems much more comfortable than a bucket collar.

Kirty you could try getting some foam cut (or sometimes they have scraps of suitable size) at Clark Rubber. I have a large rectangle of foam for my 11yr old foster to sleep on and she loves it.

I just realised that this box didn't have a "Sealed with a kiss" sticker on it I like the dog nose-prints

Mine was shipped on the 6th and took until today to get here but it had a sticker and pamphlet saying it'd been through quarantine so that combined with the Xmas rush would account for why it took so long.

We got to see Deb tonight and she is amazing! This lady works miracles Sarge looks so much better and is moving freely again. We go back in 10-14 days and I am really looking forward to it

It's not unusual on a 40+ degree day to find my black dog sunbathing on the deck They all love to sunbathe but the others seem to realise that it is too hot whereas the black one doesn't

Boxagirl, great news about Bondi! I hope she continues to improve I need more recommendations for a bowen therapist/chiro/physio. Deb Nook can't fit me and Sarge in until the 7th but I'd really like to get him seen to before then.

They are all welcome on my bed if they want but only one chooses to sleep there regularly. The rest sleep on their beds or the floor.

You need to provide more options if it's going to be multiple choice. Eg Where did you get your dog - registered breeder, pet shop, shelter/rescue, print/internet advertising What if they got it from a friend or kept a stray? I think adding an option like "other (please elaborate)" would be good. Also, Coat - smooth - wire coated - long coated I would not be able to answer this as I wouldn't classify a corgi coat as any of these. Maybe use "short/medium/long" as then I would choose medium. You also need some sort of "curly" option for owners of poodles etc. Oh and a hairless option for breeds like chinese cresteds and xoloitzcuintle :D

I checked my clean run account and it says this second order I am waiting on was shipped on the 6th although I got an email on the 8th saying it was shipped. I reeeeeeeally thought it was going to arrive today The postie said they are working tomorrow though so maybe it will arrive then :D Wishful thinking!

Woohoo RV that is great! Make sure to take lots of photos of the pups with their new toys and show us! Mine still isn't here...really hoping it arrives before Christmas.
